Breaking: Paris shootings and explosions near Stade de France kill 129

It is amazing to me how after every terrorist attack Republicans act exactly like liberals do after every school shooting. The response is always less freedom and more intervention. And they do it without even a hint of self-awareness.

Sometimes, in order to protect other people's freedoms, there needs to be a course of action and military reply to major terrorist attacks. Especially when we are in part to blame for the tragedy.

I don't support anyone except other Americans and the innocent victims of these corporate NWO games overseas. "Supporting" Assad is a dangerous game to play for an American, given the laws put on the books in recent times (Patriot Act, NDAA, etc). Be politically active, of course, but tread lightly with your rhetoric and craft your words carefully.

Yet America supports the Saudis/Turks Terrorist financiers.
Time to rethink your allies America.

If those Nutcases want another intervention in Syria let them go themselves.

I definitely think France has the intelligence and power to handle the situation. Whether they want our help or not remains to be seen. I would not unilaterally intervene.

Unfortunately this brand of terrorism is not something our founders could have foreseen. They were used to dealing with countries that had a government and a standing army or navy. This is an organized group with an agenda. I don't know what the founders would say about something like this. It's not like they didn't understand the citizens' uprising and the storming of the Bastilles that set off the French Revolution. Indeed, they lent support to the citizens. It was not the same as the US Revolution. The ideals were totally different, yet our government supported the revolution there. Clearly they were opposed to oppression. If ISIS does not represent oppression, then nothing really does.

What a romanticized bunch of bullshit. Yes, our founders did indeed understand guerrilla rebellion and they practiced it. And clearly they were not "opposed to oppression". They practiced oppression. They owned slaves.

They had their faults but they were not so dumb to not understand violence. They dealt with more violence than you do. They didn't have 911 or local cops to call.

No. They should go united with Russia. Isis is much more dangerous than Assad and a much greater threat to this nation and its allies. Russia is not the boogey man. It's these cold blooded murderers screaming Allahu Akbar in the name of Islam.

I wasn't saying there shouldn't be military action. I've had Fox on for the last few hours and the level of hysteria is at a fever pitch.

In truth, I put Fox News on for a few minutes earlier and then turned it off. It is just too saddening and maddening to watch.

Aren't you just charming?

Don't miss the point. They might have understood terrorism, but they chose not to codify a US reaction to an invasion of an allied nation. This is not the same as if France were invaded by Spain. They had attacks in their capitol city by an organization with an agenda. We are bound by treaty to France. We have a long history with France. I'm not sure what kind of liberty answer we are supposed to give them.

And where does one go to wipe Isis out? It's not like Isis is located in one particular place;

While it might not be recognized by the United States or the United Nations, ISIS has declared themselves a Caliphate (nation) and they do have territory and they have a location.

Indeed, it's how Islamists operate. They organize, immigrate, terrorize, and take over. That's the MO since the beginning.

They have been trying to establish an Islamic state in Europe for over a hundred years.

The West should come out of this next meeting showing solidarity with Russia on the issue of Isis. They should incapacitate Isis jointly.

Three words: Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I have a question: Depending on the news outlet, between 5 and 8 terrorists have died. As far as anyone knows maybe two of them are homicide bombers who detonated vests. What happened to the others?

I do business with a large military base nearby. I've never seen it so busy. Get ready for war, my friends.
