I was watching to catch a predator and noticed the cops were taking down the non-resistant alleged predators pretty hardcore. Then the Host gives an explanation for the cops aggressive behavior, the reason is "It is very easy to get a Concealed Carry Permit in the State of Florida." Had this happened in Illinois where it is illegal to carry a firearm, they wouldn't have had to worry about these alleged child sex predators being armed. It seemed to me they were just making a jab at gun owners. I changed the channel after that comment

And I still say that it should not matter a bit if someone is accused of murdering the entire population of the state of Minnesota: if they are non-violent/ non-resisting when being arrested, the police have an absolute obligation to behave calmly and professionally.

A friend of mine who is a die-hard Democrat recently made essentially this same "argument" to me - that the cops would be less brutal if the people were not armed. So I suspect that this idea is being distributed among the media and other anti-gun operatives as a deliberate action.

When my friend said that to me, I responded "so your position is that in the face of brutal police action we should render ourselves helpless and hope they will then be nice to us?" She didn't have much of a response.

On the topic you speak of, however, I've never watched that show, but I'm guessing a lot of these "child pedophiles" are actually after 15-17 yr olds. That might not be socially acceptable, but it's biologically normal.
