Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of Russia either (in fact, I haven't been back once after I emigrated from there 16 years ago). And I'm sure quite a few bad apples in the Russian army have done bad things during the course of this conflict as well. But overall, the Russian reconquest of South Ossetia after what Georgia did there on Aug 7th is justified, and the way the west has been spinning this is completely inexcusable!
 
Alex, this has been my point, Russian South Ossetian people wore butchered for no reason.

I know first hand how brutal the so called communists wore trust me i went threw hell and back with them 30 years ago, i love America and have always been very patriotic for the freedom it gave me and my family but the last few years i am seeing things that make Communism look like child's play and most Americans don't see it as they have no first hand experience with communism and are much more wory about how their going to make some money to pay rent, or get drunk, or go out and party or Blu-Ray vs. HDDVD, ps3 vs. xbox or whatever....

The American situation right now after 9/11 is very scary!

I can tell you never researched my posts, or else you'd know that I don't support GWB. Atleast I'm not a communist, like you.

Seems you can't stop saying I support Bush, even though I've repeatedly denied it, are you dense? Seems you can't debate content, you can only attack people personally when they don't agree with you.

The only attacker i see is you, hence your above post! "Retard" "Dense" "Communist"....

I have said over and over again, Russia, Georgia and the white house all have blood on their hands, but that blood is mostly South Ossetian blood! Russia has the right to retaliate the aggressor KaKAvili and stand up to Bush, my problem is why is Bush involving us.... Now go away you're becoming anoying....

Aah, the Russians were right in helping the S Ossetians saved from butchery.

Then again though, remember that a ceasefire had been in place for a while, can't tell you how long, between the S Ossetians and the Georgians. Besides, a tense, de-facto autonomous co-existence had been achieved.

Of course, the problem still had to be solved. There were sporadic problems, and the situation could easily escalate as it has now.

However, the wildcard is that the Russians had, a few months ago, begun to scale up their troops in S Ossetia. At the same time, the S Ossetians began a new wave of attacks.

That doesn't mean that Georgia was justified. They should have figured out a way, rather than letting their president play power politics and act as a buffer state between Russia and the West, of peacefully allowing the S Ossetians an autonomous state at least. And, more importantly, they should not have been as brutal as they were.

However, to say that Russia is innocent is misgiven. A massive troop escalation does one thing: create a situation where force is the means to put down dissent. And don't tell me they didn't know that.

Besides, if the Russians were justified, why bother bombing the pipeline, or the rest of the nation for that matter? Why the attempts to invade Georgian territory, ie outside of Abkhazia and S Ossetia. The simple fact is they too are playing geopolitics.

But I will NOT say I absolve Georgia either. They took the bait, and they kept biting when they didn't need to.

Why do you want me to go away? Rather preach to the choir? Listen. S. Ossetia or not, Russia invaded GEORGIA and butchered thousands of innocent civilians. They bombed civilan locations! Two wrongs don't make a right!
