Did We Provoke Putin’s War in Ukraine?

What NATO propaganda? You haven't responded to a single thing I've said, you simply respond tangentially.

Should or should not Ukraine have the sovereignty to determine its own foreign policy?

Just because you claim you aren't repeating a propaganda point does not mean that you aren't repeating a propaganda point.

And the answer, as usual, is that yes, they can determine their own foreign policy, but there are many unique considerations to take into place. And "determining their own foreign policy" does not equate to joining NATO.

It is a simplistic and childish argument. Why don't you go ask your spouse and family if you have the "right" to to sleep with whoever you want.

History may look back at this as the mistake that provoked WW3, the same way The Treaty of Versailles set the stage for WW2.

People with common sense immediately understood that when the Soviet Union fell and the Cold War ended, that the neoconservative globalists just wanted more war.

NATO was supposed to be defensive in nature , but went extremely offensive
NATO was also supposed to be dissolved after the fall of the Soviet Union, but you know the saying, "There's nothing more permanent than a temporary government program."

One: It's at the very least equally legitimate and possessed of the consent of the governed as territories occupied by the military of another state. And yet, as I suggested in the meme above, the two areas are being treated unequally. Also, Ukraine has had two elections since 2013.

Two: Can Donetsk? Can Luhansk? Syria? Iraq? Afghanistan?

Oops, looks like this already has it's own thread, pertinent tho.

Why not? Because NATO bad?

How about a better analogy: Your ex says that if you sleep with anyone or get remarried, they'll kill you.

Sure- but Russia should also have the sovereignty to not allow nuclear weapons on it's borders.

What nuclear weapons? Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons in exchange for Russian and American security assurances.

Well, I certainly hope the satisfaction of refusing to negotiate with Russia makes up for the death and destruction that has resulted from that refusal. Certainly the most important principal to fight and die on is the option of joining a corrupted organization like NATO.

Then again, as some Ukrainian politicians have said, they are fighting and dying for for the New World Order, and maybe sacrificing their nation to death and destruction is worth that goal.

Is it rather funny that the MSM is telling us to pick a side between the Russians and Ukrainians.

This war isn't even new, it started in 2014, and 14,000 people have died in Donbass alone since then.

Putin didn't start this war, but he might just end it.
