Is that a pun of Alcohol Proof?

Remind me never to hire you as a marketer. We live in the internet age when you are a large company like this they have to know others will find out about it.
The only think I can think that they AV is betting on is that they will pick up more Mexicans in America than Americans they lose due to the ad. But why even take that chance?
lol come on guys. as a marketer, I'd have no problem running that all over mexico. I bet they're selling the shit out of some vodka.
i'll stick with the Captain anyway but damn. talk about much ado about nothing.
i understand your thinking, but it reality, it doesn't hold out. You and all your friends can boycott it over this.
3 million Mexicans just orded a shot. It wasn't Jose Cuervo this time.
I don't need you to hire me.![]()
By the time it is over, it will not just be a me and all my friends. If any MSM pick up on this you will see AV making public apologies with egg all over their face and sales in the US will drop more than they will pick up in Mexico. You will see southern state bar owners stop selling it and so on.
Speaking of this, have any of you heard of Project Reconquesta?
This issue really has nothing to do with vodka. The marketing people chose that image because they felt it spoke to the Mexican people. That's what I find interesting about this whole deal.
Do Mexicans in general want to refight the Mexican-American war?
That seems really crazy.
Is it a kind of nationalistic pride reaction to anti-Mexican immigration rhetoric within the U.S.?
It's a real puzzle to me. But I gotta say it's not good PR for Mexicans in my opinion. I mean, we've got immigrant advocates always talking about how great these illegal immigrants are for America, but then things like this Absolut advertisement sure don't inspire much faith in the good intentions of these immigrants. People on both sides need to tone down the animosity, or I'm afraid things could turn ugly.
