Bob Barr's name is not on the list of candidates who signed on the 4 issues.

I was under the impression that he had signed on to it? Credit to Nader, McKinney, and Baldwin -- at least they understand that it's not only about winning an election or propping themselves up, it's about setting the USA back on the right track.

That's because Don was angry... yup... (remember how he was posting here... pretty angry)

I'm betting he signed like Nadar said.

I think sign is a misnomer. I don't think that anyone signed it. I think their presence was an expression of support. Since Barr didn't attend, well...

Barr said he signed on, Dr. Paul said Barr signed on, Nader said Barr signed on...

Seems as if the CFL staff is more interested in their silly games than promoting Dr. Paul's work.

yep

people need to open your eyes. The C4L is doing exactly what Barr claimed in the email. They are trying to damage him professionally, which only damages the Libertarian Party.

If neocon plants are involved, it is in the C4L.

Why did Barr skip the conference? Whats wrong with also supporting Ralph Nader and the Green Party's righ to debate the main 2 parties? I guess its wrong when the Libertarians aren't allowed in the debates or get TV-face time, but when it happens to Nader or the Greens its perfectly acceptable. Disgusting. And no matter how many people try to spin it, Bob Barr made a huge mistake.

The only people who damaged Barr professionally is Bob Barr himself.

I would rather trust the CFL over Born Again Libertarian Barr anyway.

Then why is it that the Libertarian Party only wants Ron Paul and his fans to endorse Bob Barr? Whats wrong with also supporting Ralph Nader and the Green Party's righ to debate the main 2 parties? Barr owns his campaign. In the end if he had second thoughts about appearing with Nader, that is his choice, just as it was Paul's choice to skip out on Glenn Beck at the last minute.

My question is why is the C4L actively trying to harm the number of votes The Libertarian Party Candidate will receive in 2008?

These should not mutually exclusive positions. The C4L is not even running for office.

Ron Paul forums has been extremely anti-Barr since he skipped the Conference, not since the C4L excluded him off the list of candidates. He doesn't want to appear with Nader to help get into the debates fine. But then don't complain when Ron Paul fans want to look at someone else to support.

When did Ron Paul skip out on Glenn Beck? He was just on the other day.

The C4L probably didn't put his name on it because he refused to attend and instead insulted and mocked the whole conference.

You can take the man out of the neocon party, but you can't take the neocon party out of the man...

Does anyone have a copy of the CFL handout at the press conference?

I think someone posted that Barr's name was not in the handout.

Presumably, those handouts were created well *before* the press conference.

If so, one of those handouts would be clear evidence of who was/is playing "games"-

I know where my bets are:rolleyes:

PressConferencegate

Bob Barr's name is not on the list of candidates who signed on the 4 issues.

In short, there's an angry rift, and the liberty movement's been scattered to the winds.

All because of stupid PressConferencegate.

I really wish Paul would take Barr up on his offer and become his VP.

"We Agree" was intended to spark unity between the far left and far right, in order to act as a strong spearhead against rogue centrists. Barr is more interested in playing party politics, though. If we followed in his footsteps, we'd end up with a three-party system, which is just as bad as a two-party system, especially under his heavily-diluted pseudolibertarian antiphilosophy.

I'm so sick of people not wanting to work with anyone LEFT of Ron Paul like a Nader of Mckinley. If we could unite on these four basic causes then something big might come of it. Instead of Barr's desire to get a few extra percentages. And now people are saying we should vote for Barr since he'll get the most votes anyway. So now we're going to support the lesser of 3 evils?

Bingo.

That group has been completely taken over by a combination of Baldwin supporters and Junior Republicans. To them the LP and Barr are problems, not an asset.
