Bob Barr still needs to prove himself
I'm sorry but I'm not jumping on this Bob Barr band wagon, Where was this clown, when Ron Paul was running strong ?
Was Barr preaching liberty , when he was a member of the Republican Party? I don't think so! If Barr truly has changed and is a true libertarian then LET HIM PROVE IT! He should run for congress, governor, state senator something else beside president, so he can build a track record of voting libertarian.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the main reason why we love and trust Ron Paul so much is not because he says he is a defender of liberty and constitution but because we all know from his voting record that he talks the talks and walks the walk. It's really his voting record and his speeches in congress that let us know "this Guy is legit! he's the real Deal!" How is Barr's voting record? well he voted for the patriot Act & the Iraq war how is that for starters, he was also a HUGE supporter of the drug war, and all this happened not that long ago as recently a 2005! how many times has Barr uttered the word Federal reserve or talked about how our flawed monetary policy is the cause for so many of our nations problems? you could probably count how many times on one hand and not even use all your fingers! If it wasn't for Ron Paul speaking of it so much I think Most of us would still be in the dark about what a scam the Federal reserve system truly is.
It was Ron Paul bringing up issues that have never been discussed in politics that made him stand out, and made us look more deeply into these issues, Things like the inflation Tax , The Fed, the war on drugs Etc. Barr doesnt seem to be interested in waking people up and freeing them from having a sheep's mentality if did he would speak on these avoided issues more often.
Now I'm not saying the guy is all bad, I sure he has done some good things but Voting for the war and the patriot act the 2 main issues we all have beef with just can not be ignored! I just wont let that go or forgive him that easily. let Barr prove himself! let me see him work within the libertarian movement for a few years and have the record to back it up then MAYBE he can earn our trust.
Until then I still plan on writing Ron Paul & I still think Bob Barr is just a Neo-con infiltrator playing a role to dived the freedom movement, but I must say Chuck Baldwin of the constitution Party is looking better and better to me everyday. I know he doesn't have a lot political experience and I'm still looking into his back ground but at least I know he was out on the front lines campaigning his ASS OFF for Ron Paul and he has talked about the Fed more than a handful of times which is more than what I could say for Barr.
