Bloomberg: Today Romney Lost the Election (Does that mean we still have a chance?)

It was more truthful than it was a 'smoking-gun'. (of course, when Romney says something that happens to be true, we must assume that is accidental). It feels good to be part of that 5-10% in the middle, though.

I'm not in the middle. I'm on Romney's right. And Romney doesn't understand that there are lot of people on the Right (Which is US btw) who aren't voting for him, because he's indistinguishable from Obama. Rockefeller Republicans govern left, but often say conservative things, in order to trick conservatives into voting for them. It is clear that Romney is a Rockefeller Republican, and he won't do anything that needs to be done, in terms of cutting the Fedgov.

For those of you that say Romney told the truth...YOU ARE WRONG. I am one of the 47% that pay no federal taxes but I work and am not on any government assistance. Many people don't pay if they are under a certain income or are single WORKING mothers. We still pay ALL the other taxes, they just say we don't make enough to pay Federal BUT again that does not mean we are on any government dole....Romney used the number in a way that is NOT true

A million times this, plus rep, etc, etc....

It's hard to believe how many people here are ardently defending Romney's statements. Just because someone does not pay FEDERAL income tax does not mean at all that they don't work their asses off, and that they don't pay plenty of STATE taxes, anyway. I think this is a moment to remember what Ron's response is to the fact that half the country pays no income tax: "Good! We're halfway there!"

Ironically if seniors had voted for Dr. Paul they would have been securing their SS and other benefits, but by not they put their already dwindling benefits at even more risk.

Well, they weren't playing close attention. They heard "cut government" and that was that. They're old. They're going to die, and they only want to keep everything pretty much the same until then. They hope the system doesn't collapse until after they're dead.

They knew (and they were right) that Ron Paul's programs meant rocky present, some temorary pain, and a better future. A better future is irrelevant to them.

Ron's the MAN!

What Romney said may be true about 10-20% of people but definitely not anywhere near half. Does Romney fault lower income working families for taking the credits and deductions available to them that cause them to not have a federal tax liability? I know if I had a credit/deduction/shelter to shield all of my income from taxes I would use it and so would Romney. This doesn't mean these people are on the governments dole, and even the ones that are, not all of them are there by choice. I am a part of the group who pays taxes that he needs to "win over". Not happening.

But you're the one saying he said it. Why should I go hunting for a quote that I doubt exists?

Well, a good part of that 47% are people collecting Social Security, and he has indeed said that they're victims of our inflationary economics.

Hope springs eternal, but I highly doubt this will do absolutely anything.

If Mitt 'Cayman Islands' Romney faults others for taking available credits and deductions, that is truly hilarious.

Not really. As a multimillionaire, Romney has already paid more dollars in taxes than 90-whatever percent of Americans will in their entire lifetimes.

Seriously, this couldn't hurt our write-in campaign!

sorry, couldn't help myself =P

This new series of Mother Jones videos are going to be huge and viral.

I can tell simply by this: 338 views 1,773 likes, 373 dislikes

Google tops all new videos view counts at 300. Actually, it TRIES to stop them at 300, but sometimes the view count goes up so quickly that they can't stop it at exactly 300. They do that until the true count is assessed from all the Google servers around the world which keep the actual count.

You often see a video count stopped at 302, 305 views for about a day and then the next day, you get the accurate count, when Google has confirmed that the view count is real and not some kind of spamming trick.

I have NEVER seen a temporary view count stop at 338. That tells me that tomorrow, that thing is going totally viral with probably at least a million views.

Romney is toast.

The video is at over 1.4 million views already - good call!

It does not. But Bloomberg is right- Romney is in a world of hurt. I mean the economy could still collapse between now and November, or Obama could say something extremely stupid, or the debates could change a lot of people's minds... but unless something unexpected happens Romney will lose.

Oh the headlines and cartoons show potential for being quite entertaining, lol. My condolences to those who prefer one mainstream candidate over another. I dislike them both equally. Funny stuff:

Today was the first day I thought Romney actually had a chance of winning. The moderate pushover republican candidates like mccain, dole, romney (so far), never win. Republican candidates have a much better chance of winning if they tell it like it is and go right instead of towards the middle. If Romney doubles down on what he said about free-loaders shirking personal responsibility, he wins.

Looks like they are already trying to figure out how to walk this one back.

A majority of Americans sadly desire cradle to the grave government assistance. I've seen polls where over 60% of those questioned who considered a right to an education enforced by the U.S. Constitution. Collectively, we're dealing with the lost children of U.S. history with no idea where they came from and thus have no idea of the perilous fate which awaits.

And then factor in what he contributes annually to the Mormon Church. I may not like his politics and his dubious connections, but Romney is far more generous than anyone in this forum will ever be. These salient comments by Romney irk the parasites because you're not supposed to talk about it in public. It's supposed to be a secret.

Bloomberg is never right about anything...
