Bloomberg News Poll- Iowa- Cain 20%, Paul 19%, Romney 18%, Gingrich 17%

I wouldn't think Bloomberg is credible. I'm not saying they are known to be wrong or anything, but I just don't think they are known to be right either. But if another poll from a different firm says the same thing, I will believe it!

The poll was conducted by the same firm that conducted the Des Moines Register poll, which is regarded as the standard of polls for Iowa.

How about if it was from the highly credible Des Moines Register? Their Iowa polls are highly regarded. Same pollster.

SurveyUSA has been consistently the most accurate pollster, yet I haven't ween anything from them in awhile.

The Campaign still needs to work hard on the 50+ age voting groups and especially women. But the comment below is very promising.

There’s good news in the poll for Paul, 76, a Texas congressman who has attracted ardent supporters. Among likely caucus-goers who say their minds are made up, Paul leads with 32 percent, followed by Romney at 25 percent and Gingrich, a former House speaker, at 17 percent.
Among Paul supporters who backed him in the 2008 caucuses, 69 percent are still with him now.
Poll participant Sarah Stang, 78, a retired teacher who lives in Osage, Iowa, said she switched parties four years ago so she could vote for Paul.
“He doesn’t want to raise taxes on us middle- and low- income people,” she said, adding that she “loves” his challenges to the Federal Reserve. “They have way too much power. They should let the marketplace do what it’s supposed to,” she said.

Well either way, I want to see it from multiple sources first. I'm keeping my hopes up though.

I'm just trying to be consistent, because when someone else does surprisingly well in a poll, some here say it was probably a fluke.

This needs to be spread far and wide. If this doesn't recharge grassroots enthusiasm, I don't know what will.

This.

The psychological effects of this poll on voters (especially iowans) could be huge. One of the biggest hurdles we've faced is trying to bridge the chasm without any 'social proof' that Paul could actually win. People like us, who are 'early adopters' / 'mavens' can make the mental leap with ease... but most others can't.

Very few people like to openly back the guy with 'no shot in hell'.... but lots like to back the 'underdog' ... and this Poll definitely opens up that narrative :)

A LOT of promising things from the article.

We have a shot at winning Iowa! We need to work harder than ever. Make calls, donate money, canvass or do anything to help out with the efforts in Iowa!

This will bring back those who have been hibernating, and those who have been on the fence. This is great.

Phone From Home will boost these numbers a lot. We have 1.5 months to make this happen. We need to come up with a way to advertise Phone From Home to more supporters. The more people doing it, the higher we'll surge in the polls.
We need people making youtube videos of themselves phone banking ASAP. This will encourage others when they see how easy it is to do.

I feel the ship turning!

Thank you everyone for your hard work! :)

Might not want to make it public though for campaign reasons. Others said this earlier.

This poll is awesome though.

Is there any proof that this isn't an online poll? I don't see any. :(

Well, the Des Moines Register poll wasn't online..

The Bloomberg Iowa poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points and was taken Nov. 10-12. Selzer & Co. is the same West Des Moines-based firm that conducts the Iowa Poll for the Des Moines Register newspaper.

Also, I don't think they calculate a margin of error when it comes to online polling like Zogby and Reuters. This one is real.

I'd say it was probably not online. Excellent news. :D Also promising that more people in the state report hearing from the Paul campaign then any of the other candidates. That's the sort of stuff that wins elections, especially in a state like Iowa.

I'd like to see another poll confirm this, especially PPP. Is Bloomberg an accurate pollster?

I think PPP has started lying. I've seen too many "no way that's true" numbers out of them very recently. if you're curious, watch PPP's polls regarding Ron Paul and 18-29 and favorability.
