I seem to keep running into your posts and I'm not considering it a good thing. Its like being at a party yet constantly running into some really depressed person that wants to tell you about all the negative things going on in their life.

...This was not an immense project, it was not a complex project, there wasn't much issue of logistics... People launch blimps all the time.

What makes you qualified to comment on the complexity of this project? You are talking out of your rear end and living in a dream world. Have you ever launched a blimp, or know anyone who has? I'd be interested in hearing about some complex project that you have organized, that might establish some grounds for your expertize.

Also, I'm feeling slighted that you won't answer my question in post #71. My goal is to move you toward the productive realm, as is required of you by the terms of use of this board.

No JOKING intended, but perhaps you are simply just being sensitive about all of this. If I was reading the same information you were reading and I am assuming we were, it was not even known until Friday that the Blimp project was a go, so logically, I personally was doubtful that it would be ready to launch Monday nor was I surprised that it didn't. Do you know any Vendors willing to float a $200,000 deposit on good faith with no prior relationship? Likely not.

I had some doubts about it being launched Monday as well. I assume now that what really happened is the blimp company didn't start on the banners until they got the money. Whatever really happened, it isn't right to attack supporters who ask questions when things are obviously not adding up. Its pretty low actually.

I'm a being sensitive? Maybe or maybe not, but if no one ever got mad, it would happen all the time like this.

I guess the point is, criticism is OK, just make it constructive. We all want this to work and I know this includes you.

In the end, this will be constructive. What I am objecting to is the lessons to be learned here. It could have been a lot better on this front. Saying "its perfect, its great, it will make everlasting history" is *not* constructive.

The problems with the blimp project was needlessly antagonizing supporters. Communication was totally bungled, and people were insulted directly, for asking questions when they weren't told things.

Those are the lessons to be learned here. I hope it still gets to Boston, and that no one glories over another here for being wrong (using the project itself as an excuse then).

I think you may have opened a can of worms about the Atlas Shrugged movie. That's another "complex" project that is having some delays; now BeFranklin will probably launch on warning for that too. On the other hand, maybe like a shiny object it will divert his attention.

Sorry if I misread your message. Obviously others do intend to attack, which I find pretty miserable behavior when I donated to the blimp. That is why I got mad last night to, when I saw that being done to others. Really low behavior.

Thats why I was thinking some adhesive substance, but perhaps it was just stretched.

Yes, you can turn off certain users comments. Just click on their name, go to their public profile....look on the right side for "add "username" to ignore list... add, then save. done.

This is great... since I turned BF to ignore the thread is now just 10 pages... rather than 30.

Yeh, I already know i'm not going to like the movie.... they are cutting out 66% of the book and piecing it together like they did for hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy(the newer movie)
