Just curious but...will the blimp make it to Boston for the tea party or not? Because if it doesn't I have a feeling that it will see a huge decline in interest and donations!
I always said that dumping the tea was a bad idea anyway.
So is no one else worried that this will make some people see the blimp as a failure? Plans to dump tea and all that jazz...
It seems to me to be merely a very vocal minority, not a general opinion. A larger number of people might be somewhat disappointed, but not to the point of calling it a failure, probably more in line with your viewpoint, from the sound of it. In the end, I suggest we remain optimistic, and things will turn out quite well. In this situation, realism sides more closely with optimism, not pessimism. That's my opinion, at least.I didn't say I look at it as a failure but I am worried that some people had great expectations for Boston.
Still a lot of people expected it to be there.
Sunday...Not as cold. Snow in the morning...then rain and freezing rain in the afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times in the morning. Snow accumulation of 3 to 4 inches. Highs in the mid 30s. Northeast winds around 15 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.
I heard from people I know in Boston that things were so bad there on Thursday, that I suspect we should be happy that the Tea Party commemoration can even happen at all. Sunday's weather is going to be better than feared, but it still isn't going to be the kind of weather where anyone will want to stay outdoors a second longer than they have to. Remember, too, that people in Boston are very used to seeing blimps all the time because of Fenway Park and it wouldn't be a huge novelty for them.
Here is a weather prediction for the Sunday that I pulled off Boston.com:
