Some posters around here are such nutjob, they will donate 5 bucks (if so at all) than cry about a job not being done, these are the same people who said blimp wont fly at all, now they are mad that they have been prooved wrong. I think ron paul campaign can live without these negative douchebags.

Security delays? What are you talking about? Since when do you need four weeks notice to ship cargo on a plane? That is incredibly absurd. What company was it going to be shipped with? What kind of plane was it going to be shipped on? How big is a blimp banner when it's folded up inside a box? This makes absolutely no sense!

I was thinking the same thing. Security delay? HA; That is utter BS.

We may not live in a free society, but hell we are free enough to ship a banner from one state to another without having to wait 4 weeks for clearance. Hell you could ship a banner from North Korea to South Korea or visa versa in one quarter of the time.

Most people dont really seem to have a problem with the delays. The problems seem to arise from deception and lack of communication to customers.

I agree, the whole point of this blimp was to get media coverage, and we will get it. The last thing we want is negative media about the problems associated with it. Can't wait to see it in the air and the media coverage of it.

I have no argument against the fancy shmancy Microsoft Picture sleuthery. That's perfectly valid. My problem is with the complete and utter ignorance of tense and of the English language. A photograph is a frozen moment of the past. You cannot look at a photo of the present or the future. The fact that you are looking at it means that it happened in the past. Therefore, the implication that the present tense "being sewn" was used means that it's happening as we speak is completely inane.

It was "being sewn" at the time the picture was taken. Now, it is no longer "being sewn".

Besides, according to Microsoft Picture, the photo was taken at 12/11/2007 12:40:44PM. It was posted to the forum at 6:54pm. That's over 6 hours later. How can that be? It must still be "being sewn"!! The picture shows it!! Help those poor people!! They're trapped in an eternal time warp of blimp banner sewing!!

The Blimp organizers knows about the banner delay all along and they were hiding these information from us. Now they tell us the banner could take MONTHS to finish. Is it a warning for another lame excuse tomorrow?

I'm sick and tired of those people. They should honest and upfront about everything. No hiding, no lies. Can't they understand?

I'M F**KING SURE THE BLIMP WON'T BE IN BOSTON ON TIME AND/OR THE BLIMP WILL FLY DURING THE NIGHT WHEN NO ONE IS SEEING. Even a cow can't see the Blimp!

Pilot says if the weather is good enough to be in Boston in the first place that it should be fine to get there and there will be enough time to get there by Saturday night.

Here comes 48 travelling hours (out of 100 hours in total). And half of the time is night time flying.

They need to start being more straighforward....this last update seems like a bunch of bull to most of us. Did they overpromise so we would donate and now they are going to underdeliver? I can understand delays and I understand it is a big endeavor to put together in such a short time but transparency and honesty would be welcome by all. They keep delaying day by day instead of fessing up with some truth.

if you have ever had your own business, you know you under promise and over deliver.
every missed deadline and every erroneous statement whether intended or not only erodes your customer base. If you want your company to succeed, you've gotta come through.

Katharine, could you please post some updated information on ronpaulblimp.com?

I would think that while you all are sitting around waiting for the banners to come, you should have sufficient time to post updated information on the ronpaulblimp.com website, or, as has been suggested, start a blog that details some of the problems and gives at least daily updates if not more often.

Changes to the website, like changing out the "Love Revolution" way of describing the message, have not been done. The "mother ship 1" term, previously on the Flight Plan, has already been picked up by some news stories.

I second the advice of other posters here about honesty. Once credibility is lost, it's very hard to regain it, and this will be very important as you/we have to raise money to keep the blimp afloat.

yep, thanks for the info. you can plan a pretty picnic, but you can't predict the weather, it'll all work out for the best whenever it DOES get airborne.
And really I am amazed myself it has happened so FAST! such things in the real world do take a lot of time, planning, and general bs to get through. I think this blimp team is doing an amazing job! keep it up!

Jeez people they try to give answer because people keep pressing them so they estimate by the limited knowledge they have and things change, if this was a normal business start up they would have weeks to prepare. What they are doing with a new type of donation vehicle is AWESOME. They are not deliberately lying, get a life you perfect tyrant gods. If you think anyone who raises questions is a troll then I have to wonder why you support Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is about personal responsibility -- and do to that, you have to think for yourself, educate yourself, draw your own conclusions and STAND UP for what is right. It would be totally reasonable if Ron Paul himself were asking the same questions asked about the status of this project and the delays which should have been known, and made public, several days ago – before the schedule was published.

If you think that attacking someone who raises questions is the right thing to do then it appears you prefer to blindly support the powers that be associated with this forum and the blimp who push the paranoid logic that 'everyone who is negative is a troll'. If this is the case, you are a follower, unable to think for yourself or draw your own conclusions and I again, have to wonder, why you support Ron Paul as Hillary would be the better option for you.

I am a educated, experienced and certified Project Manager – and there is no excuse for not knowing how many days it should take to get a banner printed and shipped. There is no excuse for not knowing of any possible shipping problems that might occur. It would be one of the first tasks on the list to accomplish – and the best case and worst case scenarios should have been known from the outset and factored into the schedule.

And I do not want to hear about hindsight... I offered to volunteer my services early on in this project and was ignored... just as many other experienced and qualified individuals with various expertise have been ignored.

Do not pile this crap on me about not saying anything if you can't be positive.... it is you that should STFU if all you can do is pull the troll card.
