**Blimp launch information** (and new banner photo)

Now we find out that the second banner isn't even done yet.

Surely they knew this yesterday, but they kept up with the charade that everything was on schedule.

And, surely they knew all of this when they began soliciting funds.

Nothing is adding up.

We didn't find out the second banner isn't done actually. No one from the blimp company told us that. We are assuming that from the caption of the picture and when it was taken. I think someone from the blimp company needs to explain. The schedule is taken down from the site, and nothing has been said about the Boston Tea Party, which obviously needs to be said as well.

Although this is a patient and understanding letter that they are trying their hardest, I'm a little shocked they didn't just say what was happening.

I am biting my tongue HUGE here because I respect the work that everyone is doing. But you saying this pretty much infuriates me. Do you not understand that people gave $200,000 SOLEY to get the blimp to Boston for the Tea Party...which was promised by your company (if we get $200,000 by Friday midnight, the blimp will launch on December 10th and we can get the blimp to Boston by the 16th).

Why promise something and now, when you can't make good on these promises, say oh don't worry about the tea party guys, the whole reason for the blimp was name recoginition and media coverage...

So now the blimp will launch not on the 10th, not on the 11th, not on the 12th, not on the 13th, but HOPEFULLY (no guarantees) the 14th.

Thanks for saying it.

Guess what guys... the Ron Paul blimp will fly!

There are so many people working on this... why worry?

Give me a break! These are good people making real world decisions to pull it all together!

I have confidence in their hard work!

Let them breath a little bit so they can get the job done.

Their drinking coffee 24/7 and staying up late every night just for you!

Nobody is question hardwork. And technically how hard they work means nothing. They are a company providing a service. What matters is only what was promised, what is delivered, and for what cost.

...Put things into a little bit of perspective folks...this thing is going to make waves regardless of whether it flies in Boston or not!

I've been very pro-blimp.
Please note, they are questioning the honesty and openness of the ad company.

I am assuming it from this quote in the first post: "The second banner will arrive by Thursday (the 13th)."

If the second banner was done I would figure it would also arrive with the first.

You are cold dude.

Additionally, these companies wanted to see the money rolling in before jumping on sewing up a banner and readying the blimp...once again, the normal process takes weeks.

I have no problem with weather delays that is why the launch was supposed to be Dec. 10 in order to give plenty of time.

And your quote is false as Elijah came in here and was saying the banners were being readied before they even had the money.

Regardless, Liberty Advertising lied yesterday as they stated the banners would arrive today and launch tomorrow knowing all the time the banners would not be and the launch would be delayed again.

You are cold dude.

Saying we need $200,000 by midnight Friday in order to launch by Monday is NOT the same thing as saying we need $200,000 by midnight Friday so we can order the banners and launch the following Friday.

To those angry:

Did you donate to the blimp solely so that it would make Boston on the 16th?

Would a PAC or non-private firm have gotten it up faster?

Is the message of freedom not worth a couple days delay to unforeseen circumstances?

For those BlimpTeam haters out there, I suggest you wait until the 16th to get all spun up. If there's a Nor'easter like weather forecasters are expecting, the thing won't fly anyways and if it looks like a major snowstorm in Boston, it may not even be able to be there on the ground. Whatever it is there is no need to lie and obviously they have been lying to us. I surely hope Trevor won't be leading any more grassroots efforts...the moment he ignored the 89% poll saying to get rid of the daily email for the teaparty I knew he couldn't be trusted.

They didn't lie. Come on! Oh... Sorry... FedEx didn't come today. Maybe they didn't ship it? Duh. Oh... I didn't think of that.

Talk about micro-managing from the sidelines. Every single step and someone is complaining. I'd hate to work in that environment.

Things are getting done!

All of that is fine, the lying is not.

Maybe you gave money soley because of the Tea Party, but you have no right to claim that rest of us are that finickey and narrow minded.

What about the first banner in the picture that is being sewn today? They said earlier that the banners were on their way, they are obviously lying.

Ouch.

Get a grip people! Geeezzzz

Everything is getting done already!
