Billboard designs for Operation St. Paul

I absolutely love this idea and the sign designs. I will contribute in the future and spread the word in my local group.

I hope everyone else does too! I'm going to St. Paul and I wanna see this! :D

Putting these up is a lot more than just for the delegates. I know I said that in the OP but there actually more to it. I want the criminal liars and hacks running the corrupt GOP to feel our presence in St. Paul. And to remind them their time in power is short lived with us on their asses. To remind them, and all the delegates, that McCain is the worst possible candidate for endless reasons. I want them to have to see the billboards the entire time they're in the city with no way to "censor" our message. Not this time! It's also about media attention. When RP has his massive rally, and all the other things going on, these billboards will have our back, blasting the message 24 x 48 feet. If we get the funds, we can put the designs on up to 60 city buses. There are 100 other reasons to launch this campaign.

The city is going to be totally chaotic, but our message will still be felt LOUD AND CLEAR!

The whole concept is amazing, Adam et al. I love how dynamic and multi-media-oriented it is.

Where else are you trying to raise money? I know you did well here on the forums with the last few states, but this is a bigger budget project.
Campaign funds? Is that an option?

The RP campaign can't give us funds for this. We probably need to have a moneybomb to pull it off. Just waiting for someone to step up who can help with it.

SWEET!
:D

Isnt there a similar quote in the book "1984" I believe it's "Truth is revolutionary in a world of deciet", not sure on the exact wording. Love the billboard idea.

I'm not trying to sabotage anyone's project. In fact I'm offering my objective advice to make it more effective so that we might actually have a chance of winning.

And I don't have the time or resources to "launch my own project" because I have to feed myself. Also, why launch my own, when I can simply offer advice and consultation to one that is already in the works and has momentum?

Any quote suggestions for the billboards?

When the RNC is being broadcast on National TV, I'd like to see at least one, 1-minute spot about Ron Paul's campaign and the throngs of people that came to see him. People never got to see this on the news because they never showed it. I want people to see it. They will say, "I never saw that before." I think it could help wake people up. There are so many examples it should be easy for someone to put the video together. It could end with promoting the Freedom movement, "join today."

I guess we'll need a money bomb to do this right. Are there any legal restrictions on how much money each of us could donate?

AMEN/ They will know we are still here in force and we have the money. ANyone try to get hold of LLepard? He would surely help out with this..the publisher should,..anyone write Trevor about this? We need all the help we can get..busses going around, billboards, taxis..IN YOUR FACE!

Great ideas guys! Someone with youtube abilities need to make a couple videos to spread the word. What should the Operation St. Paul goal be? $50,000 or 100,000??? We need a website for this pronto.

Once that mark is reached we can hold another money bomb to saturate the tv networks. If done right you could raise a ton of cash...there are countless thousands of people that would donate just to stick it to the GOP and McCain. I know I would. :)

I think $100,000 would probably be enough for ALL the BillBoards/bus-Taxi ads/Newspaper/Radio/TV.

You guys are fantastic! What a great idea with the billboards! I would put a small picture on there of Ron Paul-just seeing his face will give people courage to do the right thing. I love seeing all the new ideas-I can be having a down day, and come here and read & feel inspired-what a great group of innovative people!!!:)

Both right!

WASTE OF TIME - WASTE OF MONEY - WASTE OF EFFORT!

Here is why:

What is the goal of this? To get delegates to vote for Ron Paul of course.

However the best way to convince these people is through one on one correspondence, and one-on-one conversation. A billboard is actually one of the least effective forms of advertising, especially for producing short-term results, just like the Blimp.

We can get a hold of these people individually. Sending them DVD's is a great idea. Writing them dozens of letters is even better. Calling them and talking to them is 2nd best. Buying them lunch and having a conversation with them is the most effective way to change them over to our side.

I have a minor in marketing, and the most effective sales / marketing actions are ones that are personalized and personal.

The billboards are great. Keeping it simple is better. To be able to get the people thinking is excellent, and offers up the opportunity to talk one on one with people who need educating. DVD's help with their education. Studies have shown that 18% of one's business comes from their signs.

I love the idea of the digital boards right in their face as they go into the convention hall. It would be wonderful to have ALL 8 of those signs continually flashing Dr. Paul and his message, you know something along the lines of the old Burma Shave ads one used to read along a highway! "Got freedom?" Vote Ron Paul! Support Our Troops....They support....Dr. Ron Paul. Our government is sick...Call the doctor...Vote Dr. Ron Paul. The signs do not have to say what I just suggested but you get the idea. But just for the digital signs for one week would be 20,000 alone.

I love how the billboards are kept simple, just enough to poke at the sleeping voters brain and then saturate the buses and taxies, and benches with his picture.

Maybe for the Manifesto billboards Adam can get the publishers to foot the bill for them or at least a good portion of it.

A national tv ad would be awesome, but I am not holding my breath for that as we did not see one in our state of MI.

This really would be a boost to our morale, and a jab to the MSM.

It aint over til the fat lady sings!:)
