I have the goal set at $25K right now. Plan is to buy up to 5 billboards, bus & taxicab ads. Also possibly TV. Right now I don't have any plans to do newspapers.

I would agree with focusing on the billboards, bus & taxis. I think we will get more effect for the money. Additionally, who wants to support these newspaper companies?

We need about $30,000 just for Saturating the BillBoards/Bus-Taxi ads don't we. Hopefully we'll have this by the End of the Month so we can get the billboards purchased EARLY! As Early as possible.
Before July. Apparently these boards are booked several months in Advance.
Then -- what's the Population of Minniapolis/St Paul? IT's smller then Philly isn't it? $8,000 should be more then enough to saturate the Cable Networks right in that City. We should also try to get ads on the Local Broadcast channels there too. So probably another $8,000 right?
Now we probably want to do this with each of the ads that we have. There was that bo Ad -- there were sevreal ads that Oporation New HAmpshire had put together.
If we want to do with with the High Tide Ad ($1,600) and each of the 30 sec spots Opporation New HAmpshire had (There were about 3 or 4 weren't there? We're probably looking at wanting about $60,000 for TV ads for the night of August 30th though Sept 4th.
How much are radio ads -- just for the Radio Stations in the City? We should try and do a run of each of the Campaign Radio ads (just change the Disclamer)

It would be amazing to do all that but the money is not going to be there ($100K). I'm already working with billboard and the bus company. Everyone has space at 3 months out. I'm not too worried about it, we'll get some one way or another.

I know the whole "money bomb" thing is pretty played out by now. But I wonder if there would be support for an "Op St. Paul Moneybomb"? If we picked a date, how long would it take to disseminate it throughout the supporter community? We could hit our goal and then some, possibly in one day. Then we'd have the funds to book the ad space well in advance.
Who would be willing to help spread the date and/or set up a site similar to Nov. 5th/Tea Party where people can enter emails, etc? We could put The High Tide on there, samples of the billboards, etc.

Sounds like a good idea to me Adam. Money bombs, imo, are way more efficient and powerful than any other method of donation we have used thus far.

Does anyone like the idea of running (at least) 1 national commercial during the convention? the campaign never bought any national ads - and i am pretty sure that not one ran in my state. it would be cool for all of us RP supporters to see the same commercial at the same time (as well as the rest of the people watching the convention)
