There are plenty of users doing this, they know who they are and they are dishonest patriots. These users should be ashamed of themselves. I agree rpf should not allow this type of behavior.

Every forum that I've ever been a part of have had strict rules (ie: ban) against multiple accounts under one IP address...

trust me they do not here for some reason I have called zinzabar out several times as to who he is and i get an email from rpf warning me not to call him out. rpf is not the same anymore.
Oh I'm not doubting you, in a way I'm concurring. Not like I know who Zanzibar is but I do find it strange that multiple accounts on a single IP address would be permitted; totally inconsistent with typical forum etiquette.

I have never called any of these slime out but if I were to be threatened for doing it that would be the end of my relationship with RPF. It is a great place but not that great... That is eyeopening to hear, I am very disappointed by that.

funny, when this thread was first posted, i read it, and scratched my head, it didnt make sense, but i didnt want to make a nasty comment becuase the last thing i ever do i say guilty if there isnt a FACT showing the guilt. In my eyes this dude was trying to steal funds that couldve went to DR PAUL!!!! TO ME THAT IS DISPICABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What if you younger sibling lives with you and is also a RPF member?
From what I know, RPF doesn't IP ban.
Changing IPs isn't very difficult anyway.

The perpetrator of the scam pulled the first scam by only having one account.
This thread is about resolving a specific scam, I feel the debate about people having multiple accounts is irrelevant.
In this case, the fact that the dude was dumb enough to make a second account was the fact that busted this case.
The problem is less so multiple accounts; the problem is chipins to unknown members.

You can usually tell if it's the same person or not. Individuals usually identify themselves as siblings or something. If the person was known to scam or has been banned and there is another account with an IP match it should be flagged, could even put these people on global ignore so they don't know they are banned, yet nobody can see their posts.
Also IP banning most forums don't do as it can end up blocking other people from accessing the site as well.

I'm not even sure if anyone donated from RPF. Or maybe they haven't found out the scam yet.
There is a chance that most of the $500 came from Daily Paul - the scammer was pushing it a lot harder there.

I wrote to some guy on Facebook to tell him it was a scam and he said he'd gotten his money back.

Read this whole thread that I linked from the Ron Possible shirts thread, haha oh man seeing another side of Ron Paul Forums I've never seen before..., but yeah I think that guy is a big fat liar and scammer, makes no sense making so many accounts, new Facebook pages, saying they will drive a bunch of people to caucuses and trying to get billboards up in Florida, and acting super confident that they knew how much everything cost, obviously not a sixteen year old who underestimated how much a billboard costs. Pisses me off people who try to cheat other people. Hope he gets what he deserves...

Someone should check out User Gage... I think he may have scammed me out of $5 one time. He said he needed the money for a website or something, but I'm pretty sure he just got McDonalds with it.
