Cohen is not a boy scout but media reports linking Cohen racy photos claim and timing of Falwell's endorsement seem to be suggesting a connection by innuendo. There is no proof if those photos played any role in the endorsement.

Exclusive: Trump fixer Cohen says he helped Falwell handle racy photos

Aram Roston

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Months before evangelical leader Jerry Falwell Jr.’s game-changing presidential endorsement of Donald Trump in 2016, Falwell asked Trump fixer Michael Cohen for a personal favor, Cohen said in a recorded conversation reviewed by Reuters.

Cohen, who began a three-year prison sentence this week for federal campaign violations and lying to Congress, recounted his involvement in the matter in a recording made surreptitiously by comedian Tom Arnold on March 25. Portions of the recording — in which Cohen appeared to disavow parts of his guilty plea — were first reported April 24 by The Wall Street Journal.
The Falwells enlisted Cohen’s help in 2015, according to the source familiar with Cohen’s thinking, the year Trump announced his presidential candidacy. At the time, Cohen was Trump’s confidant and personal lawyer, and he worked for the Trump Organization.
The Falwells wanted to keep “a bunch of photographs, personal photographs” from becoming public, Cohen told Arnold. “I actually have one of the photos,” he said, without going into specifics. “It’s terrible.”
Cohen would later prove successful in another matter involving Falwell, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters. Cohen helped persuade Falwell to issue his endorsement of Trump’s presidential candidacy at a critical moment, they said: just before the Iowa caucuses. Falwell subsequently barnstormed with Trump and vouched for the candidate’s Christian virtues.

he matter was soon resolved, the source said, and the lawyer told Cohen that all of the photographs were destroyed.
Months later, in early 2016, Trump faced what seemed like an enormous challenge. The Iowa caucus was coming up, and Cohen — then deeply loyal to Trump — was concerned about how Trump would fare, the source said. Cohen felt Trump “was being slaughtered in that community,” and “didn’t want to see him embarrassed or, you know, without support,” said the source familiar with Cohen’s thinking. Cohen repeatedly reached out to Jerry Falwell, and pleaded with him to back Trump, the source said.

Soon after, according to this account, Falwell made his historic announcement. “I am proud to offer my endorsement of Donald J. Trump for President of the United States,” Falwell was quoted saying in a statement issued by the Trump campaign. “He is a successful executive and entrepreneur, a wonderful father and a man who I believe can lead our country to greatness again.”

B-word allegations, theories and claims have been getting bit out of hand lately, perhaps Congress needs to take notice and completely ban its use as a political tactic or make punishment for it as harsh as things like hate crimes to deter its use.

It was recently reported that some on Far Right even subscribed to theories that MAGA himself was being blackmailed, without providing any proof:

Some of the memes and photos are already being used in media/social media to push peculair narratives :

In August 2017, a reporter for Politico spent a weekend at the Miami Hostel — Politico unsubtly labeled the place a "flophouse" and noted the Falwell-tied property encourages behaviors (drinking, premarital sex, smoking, coed sleeping) that would get students expelled from Liberty University, the uptight Christian college that Falwell Sr. founded. Politico also noted that Alton Hostel LLC was, for a few years, based at a Virginia property owned by the nonprofit university. Politico also called the hostel "gay-friendly," which is interesting, considering that Falwell Sr. famously blamed the 9/11 attack on gay people and that Falwell Jr. runs a university that is explicitly anti-LGBTQ.
But the story keeps getting weirder: BuzzFeed has reported that Falwell Jr. is (or at least was) a pal of Michael Cohen's and that Cohen helped persuade Falwell to endorse Trump's 2016 presidential run. Somehow Granda, too, got tied up in this: BuzzFeed says it has obtained a photograph of Granda meeting Trump at the university in Lynchburg, Virginia. (The university owns the copyright to the photo and did not give BuzzFeed permission to publish the image.) A source also told BuzzFeed that Cohen and Falwell discussed the Miami-Dade County lawsuit before Falwell endorsed Trump. But there is currently no direct evidence that the real-estate deal with Granda influenced Falwell's Trump endorsement. New Times was not able to independently corroborate BuzzFeed's reporting.

That Vanderpool tweet refers to Falwell "staking a Miami pool boy."

Pardon my ignorance, but what does "staking" mean? Is that a euphemism for something gay?

I think it's where you and a buddy cook steaks by the pool.

It's kind of like hamburgering, but more expensive.

She probably meant "stalking."

I thought about that possibility too, but rereading the tweet, I can't understand what "stalking with millions" would mean. And, although the articles were clearly deliberately leaving details out, it didn't look like anything they described sounded like he was stalking him.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does "staking" mean?

Not sure exactly what it means in this context. But to not speculate about any double meaning.. at least until all the facts are outed.
Social media pundits seem to be reading too much into Falwell looking towards flooor in some of his MAGA endorsement photos.

Cohen may be telling the truth but there is simply no reason to trust him at this point.

This could be his way of settling scores, there were media reports earlier that a rising star of GOP-Adelson had tried to intimidate/threaten Cohen.

On an unrelated note, previously same GOP figure was subject of controversy over a controversial cartoon involving MAGA.

He is a scumbag. His job was to make something go away and be kept quiet. He put that something in the spotlight.

He worked for MAGA for decades as his personal attorney and fixer, so must have some good qualities also.

Did Jerry Falwell’s personal photos violate Christian sexual codes?

(RNS) — The news that Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. allegedly sought out President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen to help prevent the release of some embarrassing personal photos has rocked the mediasphere for mostly political reasons.

Those have to do with whether Cohen’s intervention led Falwell to issue a crucial evangelical endorsement of Trump ahead of the 2016 Republican presidential primaries.
Falwell, who has denied Cohen’s account, is an ardent champion of the president. Just this week Falwell tweeted that Trump was owed an extension of his term as “reparations” for the time spent on the Mueller investigation.

But while some evangelicals faulted Falwell for his endorsement of a president whose behavior has been at odds with many evangelical values, the allegations of racy personal photos call into question Falwell’s own behavior and whether they align with evangelical sexual mores.

Christian colleges take sexual impropriety seriously. Many schools, including Liberty University, have strict codes regarding sexual misconduct, including the viewing and sharing of pornography and nude or indecent photos.
While “sexting” or other forms of sharing erotic photos has become common in the broader culture evangelicals would mostly consider them sexual sins.
“I would think that should a president wind up exposed with having engaged in sexually inappropriate behavior, that would reflect back on the character of the institution, and I would expect the trustees would take that more seriously,” said John Hawthorne, a sociologist of religion at Spring Arbor University, a Christian school in Spring Arbor, Mich.

Does not appear to be Cohen's hand behind this but unfortunately this could meant that Falwell's endorsement of MAGA 2020 may not be forthcoming and more controversial memes would be.

Liberty University president and prominent Trump supporter Jerry Falwell Jr. will take an indefinite leave from his position effective immediately it was announced Friday.
Falwell's departure from the university comes just two days after he apologized on Wednesday for posting a picture online which showed him with his pants unzipped and his arm around a woman.
The picture, posted and deleted from Instagram Tuesday, sparked controversy because of the strict code of conduct for Liberty University students which requires them to dress with 'appropriateness' and 'modesty'.
'The Executive Committee of Liberty University's Board of Trustees, acting on behalf of the full Board, met today and requested Jerry Falwell Jr. take an indefinite leave of absence from his roles as President and Chancellor of Liberty University, to which he has agreed, effective immediately,' according to a statement issued by Liberty University Friday.
