Call to action

Call to action: Can someone help post alerts on Craigslist to politics and other categories (events, local news, volunteers), for the cities in WV. We need multiple people with slightly different postings, to keep within the terms of service.

Call to action: Can someone post an alert to the craigslist political forum once per day. The forum is very active, looks like 200+ posts per day.
(I cannot do it because my Craigslist account is brand new)

Ron Paul Supporters!! We are close to winning WV

The winner of the West Virginia GOP "primary" will be determined in the next 8 days. This is because November 30 is the DEADLINE for people to register as delegates, and delegates will determine the winner of W.V., NOT an up-or-down vote. West Virginia is an important state because it will be the first state to announce it's winner on Super Tuesday, February 5th, thus affecting the outcome of other states still in voting, such as California on the West Coast.

Current totals are:

Mitt Romney 44
Fred Thomspon 40
Ron Paul 38
Rudy Guiliani 36

At the moment we are six delegates away from being in the lead!

Keep it up. Won't it be a good idea to get delegates in every single country, or is that already the case?

Seems worthwhile for some delegates to run as Undecided to draw support that might already be mixed on Ron Paul, but doesn't want to vote for Rudy McRomney?

If we had the max # of delegates in each county, then yes, but we don' t, so anyone that runs as a delegate needs to register as Ron Paul delegates.
 
Only 6 delegates away? My God Paulites we need him to win this state, I'm not a West Va resident, what can I do to help.. contact meetups?
 
Any updates, we only have 8 days left and we need 7 delegates!! crap... I posted this on the west va forums.. I don't know what else to do, Paul cannot afford to loose an early primary state.. we've been so focused on raising money, but we need to focus on delegates to.. anyone know if we have anymore delegates?
 
Can anyobdy post updates to how this proceeds? I'm sure a lot of peopel are interested in the outcome.
 
Where is HQ yet have they given you a list or are they calling themselves. I read the whole thread and can't find anymore info on that. What they heck are they doing?

I put one up on Craig's List for WVA and was stopped/warned from doing anymore even though the title was changed. Someone else did Charleston but all the other areas in WV have nothing on Craig's for RP.

I copied some of the info from here, thank you all! Maybe because I have quite a few others going in NH and Iowa and the others re rally etc. were changed, left up but totally edited to new ends.

No, as a matter of fact, many of us were/are Democrats, as a very large portion of the entire state is made up of union tradesmen/women, educators, allied health workers, teamsters. We realize very clearly what needs to be done for Dr. Paul to win. There have been no Republicans in the past who have ever stood for what Dr. Paul stands for, and definitely none that have ever stood up for organized labor/services. I wouldn't paint with too broad of a brush if I were you. You risk alienating the very people that you are attempting to turn.

As far as being a delegate... If it doesn't involve missing class/work or spending insane amounts of money on fuel, I may be able to bear some of that load. Someone PM me on what it entails and I'll see what I can work out. Finals are coming up and school doesn't stop because I need to represent someone.

For those on the fence, let me tell you that as soon as you tell your friends/family that you mailed in your paperwork to be delegate, you start to get serious attention. Many folks around me were previously skeptical, but when I broke the news about being a delegate I got a lot of responses like "Wow", "Seriously?", and my favorite, "I hope he wins the nomination." Basically, it demonstrates your support on a whole new level to everyone around you. The statement it makes takes the level of interest from "I like what Paul says, but I don't think anyone is really serious about him" to "his supporters are not just serious, they're determined as hell, and apparently there is nothing that will stop them". In just 2 days I got 6 committals to voting for me as a delegate, including 2 that were democrats and would go through the hassle of re-registering. So if you're on the fence, think about it this way - $25 and a stamp could make a lot of believers (and eventually, supporters) if you let them know about it.
 
How in the world is this being pushed to the bottom when it is one of the single most important issues right now?

Delegate name Presidential Preference
Larry White Ron Paul
John Smith Ron Paul
Fred Johnson Rudy Guliani

and so forth. Everyone just votes for the delegates that have your presidential preference, i.e paul voters vote for Paul delegates. Whichever delegates win the most votes get to go to the state convention in each county. Kanawha might go Ron Paul, Boone might go Guliani, or they might split. The more delegates that win and get to go to the state convention, the more votes Paul will get there.

Do people only vote for the delegates with preferences? Most of the delegates appear to be undeclared.
 
Also, how long does it take for a person to change their party affiliation there? Is it immediately is it too late?
