ARG Arizona poll

Isn't the most popular person in AZ perhaps the best known anti-liberty person from AZ, Joe Arpaio. Well, perhaps that was wrong to say. John McCain is likely much better know, though he is less statist, IMO. As far as I know, Joe Arpaio is about as bad as you can get.

But seriously, this is the 2nd best recent poll for Ron Paul's that I've seen in AZ. He is moving up and doing better. This is good news! http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...ona_republican_presidential_primary-1622.html. Perhaps Ron Paul will get 3rd in AZ. That would be a major victory considering the voters in AZ and the lack of campaigning by Ron Paul.

Goldwater state people are not liberty lovers anymore it seems ! 3rd would be good.
unless the neocon vote shifts from Santorum to Newt...again !

I'm gonna dabble in conspiracy here and suggest that these polls we're seeing only serve one purpose, and that is to soften up public perception in the event that there is fraud and Ron Paul doesn't have a good showing (according to the 'official' counts).

"OH look, Ron Paul got 8% of the vote, and these recent polls showed that he was gonna get about 8% of the vote so there's nothing to see here folks! . . . . U-S-A.! U-S-A.! U-S-A! etc." --- The Establishment

Of course, the more practical explanation is that pollers usually only include "typical Republican voters", and Ron Paul supporters are anything but typical Republican voters, so we get excluded by the search criteria.

I did have a CBS poller call my house here in Georgia, but I wasn't home so I missed an opportunity to weigh in. The message on my answering machine says they're going to try again, but I don't know if they will.

Joe Arpaio is simply doing the job that the federal government fails to do. People here should be arguing against the federal government's attempts to stop Joe from enforcing the law.

The Tea Party doesn't really represent any core values anymore. Its not surprising they just follow whomever the candidate of the day is.

I think we all figured AZ was not going to be a good place for Ron Paul. That is why he did not visit it.

The Republican voters here are old and statist. Their number 1 priority is their SS checks.

The state that gave us John McCain...I'm so surprised.

Also, did Ron even spend any time there? States usually give a little love for candidates that make an appearance or two.

So Jan Brewer is a "statist idiot" because he opposes illegal immigration?

No. What makes her a statist was her approving a national ID for Arizonans, her veto of a bill that would have allowed Arizonans to buy insurance across state lines, her veto of a bill allowing guns on campuses, raising taxes "For the Children," doing nothing when the Quartzsite police arrested a woman at a council meeting, and the city manager and chief of police declared martial law and ousted an elected mayor for going after corruption, for accepting O Duce's appointment to be on his imperial council of governors, and for doing everything in her power to overturn the medical marijuana law approved by the voters. I could go on. As far as being an idiot goes, her statism is proof enough of that but, have you ever heard that dumb broad speak? She's an embarrassment.
