As much as I want to be LP official sometimes, I think we're better off taking the GOP's powerful infrastructure and making it our own. I know we're mostly cynics and so are LP diehards that laugh at the idea, but to not try is to not truly care about affecting positive change. We have to advance liberty in the most efficient manner. We have to win this war rather than make a statement.

I agree. If Ron Paul has done one thing, he's brought us all to the same party, and put us in touch with each other. United we can possibly take over the GOP. Divided we just do what we've been doing.

Yeah. Splitting off everywhere afterwards will liken this to a big summer camp. After a bunch of talk and some fun for a little while, everyone just says bye and the summer becomes no big deal. I really dislike the GOP as much as anyone (shiiit, I'm a pro-choice atheist of all things), but if we don't stay a relatively organized front, we'll go back remembering how nice the roasted marshmallows were while the Machine steamrolls our country.

Yes, begrudgingly. We will try to make a change from the bottom up. Depends on how it goes on how long I will stay in. We intend to be a huge thorn in the side of all the neocons and big government RINOs!

Ronpublicans need to get involved at the Republican precinct level. A lot of Republican precincts don't even have precinct captains. Those positions are literally up for grabs in a lot of areas. It's a good place to start.

Grass roots action within the Republican party may not produce miracles, but determined individuals can accomplish a lot more than people think.

One thing is for sure---apathy and giving up will accomplish NOTHING.

I've already left the Republican party, and I'm thinking about leaving the country...

I don't think you can say that it'll always be Republicans vs. Democrats, but if the current party system is to be destroyed, you need something to happen that will splinter at least one of the parties. It's happened before, the Whigs, for instance, crumbled into dust - and it can happen again.

Yes!

I will go down with the ship, rather than walk the plank forcefully! My hope for America is Ron Paul, but...my hope for the world is Jesus!

I will stand Shoulder to Shoulder with Ron Paul til the fight to regain our liberties is over

I AM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

THE RON PAUL REPUBLICAN PARTY

Your question is secondary to the primary question facing us today.

The question today is how are we going to wean the dirty whore, the national media network, from sleeping with 2 filthy old men, the Republican and Democratic parties? This is not a question for conservatives or liberals but both affiliations.
For those sensitive to the pornographic expression above, please realize that this orgy is endangering the soveriegnty of the U.S. Constitution.
With this in mind, what do we do now? Considering that we have no excuse in that we as Ron Paul supporters are now ahead of the curve as both liberals and conservatives, what do we do next to keep the national media from ignoring Ron Paul and his bid to follow the Constitution in the next Presidential election?

Not a chance

All that will do is hand over the Republican party to the neo-cons, which they already have the majority of.

And it will die the death it deserves.

But I see the need to keep polling this to determine if the forum is on board with the "Reclaim the GOP" battle cry. Sadly it seems so.
