Anyone else scared of this healthcare bill?

ps thanks Congress for making up my mind about finally making a disability claim.

I'd rather lose my house/become homeless than fund this.

So do you think they would say that the constitution didn't work (just like they are saying capitalism didn't work) and try something new aka a dictatorship?

Hope you won't mind the jumping in but... to quote Lysander Spooner:

"But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain – that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist."

I would also offer up Bill Buppert's amazing article "The god that failed" where he mentions such quote and goes in-depth as to how it has failed to save us from such.

Its not the constitution. The Constitution really is an old piece of paper, with words on it! Thing is, with no one to enforce the Constitution, it really does become just a piece of paper.

Who watches the watchmen?

Yeah its our job to try to enforce the Constitution, but we arent doing a very good job of it, and 99% of lawmakers, congressmen, representatives, presidents, judges, and the rest of the people dont even pay any attention to it at all. The constitution failed because THEY IGNORED IT AND WE WERE NOT ABLE TO ENFORCE IT. The rules laid out in the document were not perfect, but they were, and still are, better than anything else out there.

Or could it be that this is really the inevitable end of the Constitution and that this is exactly how it would end and they knew it?
