Anyone Else Other Than Myself Think Romney Admires President Paul?

Does Romney Admire President Paul?

LOL...I think you guys give Willard too much credit. To me it does look like a form of regret, but I bet it's more of a "poor Ron the misled soul, I wish he were on our side with all that $$$". I've seen that look before it's the mormon look when you tell them "no thanks, I'd rather go to hell."

no need to get personal. Stick to the issues and his lying on camera over and over.

I don't know if Romney has ever directly attacked President Paul however, he seems to honor President Paul based on his body language during the debate???

Yes, he does :)

Are Mormons conscientious objectors? I heard Romney avoided the draft on religious grounds so that's why I ask. How can a conscientious objector qualify as Commander in Chief?

I think it's just part of Romney's strategy to act polite most of the time towards all of the candidates.

Romney should worship him.

Romney aside though.

The look on Huckabees face when Ron fired back about Israel was the look of a son being schooled by his father....Truly truly priceless.

Yeah, the Huckster thought he could get an easy applause line with no consequences by going after RP on Israel, like McCain did on "isolationism" in another debate a while back. He was wrong.

No he's just smart enough to know he's nowhere near smart enough to get into a debate with Ron Paul. He is already in trouble in the polls the last thing he wants is to get schooled on live T.V.

True but that because he has his propaganda to spout. As far as person to person interaction he does not show any hostility. What I would like to think that he is only supporting the war because of the republican party support for it. Which is probably not too off base but don't pay any mind to my thoughts.

I've noticed that they really attack romneys mormonism because they want huckabee or giuliani to be the ones to win. I may be naive but I think Romney could pull a reagan and ditch the CFR if he got in.

Worse case scenario, if Ron wasn't running a third party, i'd vote Romney over Obama for the shear fact that Obama won't do a damn thing about illegal immigration. I think Romney would do a least a little bit. Far more the Obama ever would.

Though I'm for Ron Paul all the way, even third party if that's what it takes.

What the... 49.56% vs. 50.44%?

This poll looks like the 2000 Gore vs. Bush election results.

RECOUNT!

No, I think for the most part it's just that Romney has the common sense to realize at some point he will want us to vote for him.

That is the common sense the other debaters, and Fox News simply don't have. They could have just let Paul run, treated him fairly, and probably won on the issues. Instead they're alienating part of the Republican base that is already pissed off at the party.

Romney is just happy that Islamic Extremists have replaced Militant Polygamists as the number one threat to democracy in the US according to the Conservatives.

no way, RP is the enemy of those neoconned nutjobs, if Romney's playing the admiration game you can bet your ass it's for votes.

Rombot is intimidated and wary of RP, and rightly so after getting trounced in that previous debate where he said he needed to consult with a lawyer before declaring war. RP made him look like a fool that night. All the candidates take pot shots at RP, but they usually look pretty stupid afterward.

It wouldn't suprise me. Romney has spent most of his life as a Mormon, which means he grew up listening to and hearing quotes from many LDS leaders such as Ezra Taft Benson (Eisenhower's Sec. of Ag), Marion G. Romney, David O' McKay, J. Reuben Clark, W. Cleon Skousen say the exact same things Ron Paul is saying.

Now, he has clearly thrown all of their words by the wayside in terms of accepting them or incorporating them, but it may be difficult for him to have the same kind of hostility and animosity to Dr. Paul because of his experience as a Mormon.

He has, at times, seemed to almost be feigning indignation at Ron Paul's comments in order to match the reactions of the others or to score some face time by doing so.
