I don't know if Romney has ever directly attacked President Paul however, he seems to honor President Paul based on his body language during the debate???

Following the debate I believe I saw Mitt leave his podium and go directly to RP and shake his hand.

I think he admires the fact that RP has been able to drum up as much support as he has and wonders how the heck he can copy it. I hear alot of RP's talking points being used by all of the canidates and believe me they are paying close attention to RP trying to duplicate what he has been able to do.

No..I think its clear he tried to play with fire with Ron, and he got burnt in the face the first time with the Iran remark... He learned from his mistake, and hes either going to avoid him, or play nice!

Agreed on the posts about the Mormonism bit.

You know, Romney had a chance to crack a joke on Ron Paul - something about immigration - where the audience started laughing because he said "I don't know about Ron Paul..."

He quickly stopped the laughter with a "I'm not trying to be rude" or something to that effect.

Any other candidate would have let the laughter go. Props to Romney, but....he's still a neocon.

I think part of him realizes that unlike the others, RP is the only one up there who doesnt give a shit if Romney is Mormon and has defended him against that.

To bad the rest of the ideals dont come across

someone from that group should come out and say I am wrong, i support Ron Paul and i would be honured to be his vice president

one of them has to have some soul left, it would be interesting if it was a moran

i personaly am christian but it says, "only faith as big as a mustrad seed is needed to be saved"

in other words understand the teachings of Jesus God

Don't be fooled by Romney. He's Bush III.

He's bought and paid for by twice ambassador, top fundraiser, long time Bush family friend, drug war architect, chairman of Scooter Libby legal defense fund, and biggest mass child abuser in history... Melvin Sembler.

Then again, they're all fakes, so who knows what's really in Romney's heart (if he has one). But it seems to me he has a smirk on his face whenever RP talks.

I have long thought out of the guys up there than Ron Paul had the most respect for Romney and Romney is the only one or one with most respect for Paul.

I have heard or seen Ron Paul defend Romney SEVERAL times in interviews as far as the religion issue goes. I don't know if Romney notices at all ( he made a point to say he didn't even know RP's position on immigration) but I think Ron Paul has some level of respect for Romney.

He has also somewhat defended the "flip flopping" before when he said he would give Romney the benefit of the doubt that his current more conservative views were genuine.

i would not want him to be president

if he endorsed Ron Paul that would be great

i dont think i would want him to be his running mate, even if he endorsed Dr. Paul

If Romney is Bush III, what the hell is Rudy then?

I think yes for one reason. Despite Romney's consistent snickering at Paul, Paul did the honorable thing by sticking up for Romney on Leno. Although Romney threw a quick joke at Paul tonight, I think he showed from gratitude with the later comment on immigration.

Rommel is just a neocon, and if he is with his neocon buddies he has slick confidence. I would like to see him one-on-one with RP... for that matter any one of them.

They're like dogs... gang them up and they feel invincible, but alone they fall flat on their faces before Paul.

I'm no fan of Romney's, but I think he admires what any CEO would admire--making $. RP has proven to be able to do that, so I think Romney is very curious about RP and would love to tap into that magic. Unfortunately for Romney, he doesn't understand that we love RP for his beliefs and how he's lived his life based on those beliefs. As a flip-flopper, Romney could never fully grasp that.

He just wants Paul to drop out and is playing to our sympathies for votes. He just wants Paul's supporters! That's all.

Romney, being Mornmon, probably always feels a little separate from the crowd pretty often and sympathizes with Paul.

I think he realizes that Ron is his intellectual superior.

He is probably also jealous when moderators have to openly admit that it is impossible to find Ron flip flopping on anything. :)

romney admires ron because he has brass balls and will speak the truth on national tv. the other candidates know ron is speaking the truth and none of them will ever have the guts to admit it.

I think he does. I joked earlier that tonight, Romney reminded me of the rich dumb jock that gets his smart girlfriend to do his homework for him.

That ties in with what I had been noticing for months. Romney pays close attention to Paul when he is speaking on the fundamental causes of problems and facts, no one else bothers with knowing. In short, Romney recognizes Paul does his homework and is smarter then your average bear.

However, when it comes to image concepting, social networking with the "right" people and political savey, I think Romney thinks Paul is clueless.

I could be wrong. Maybe romney just comes across that way because his social skills are very sharp. He seems like the kind of guy who wants to make everyone in the room his friend, or in the least, he wants to be liked by everyone.

I don't agree with Romney's policies one bit however, he does admire President Paul more so because of the religion issue.

All politicians are jealous of President Paul's understanding of economics. :p
