Anyone catch Leno hit Ron Paul during his monologue tonight?

As someone that has personally met Leno, I can tell you he's a pretty decent guy. Don't take it too seriously.
I met Leno at the Tampa airport back in 1991, he raced me to a pay phone, Jay got on the pay phone and talked on it for 15 minutes, I was working as a chauffeur back in those days, and was pissed off because I needed to call my office and very few people had cell phones in those days... It was the only pay phone around, and gave Jay me a shit ass grin as he sat on the phone. I knew he was some comedy guy from Hollywood, but didn't know him much beyond that. Only thing I know is he was a phone hog... And a year later, I saw the same guy take over the Tonight Show. Not a good 1st impression of him...

He just hit Ron Paul again, 4th night in a row! He was doing his Rodney Dangerfield schtick about how bad the economy is and he said "The economy is so bad, today Ron Paul said "Let it die!"".

Michele Bachmann is a guest tonight BTW, should be interesting.

Leno was grilling Bachmann pretty hard tonight which was surprising. I missed the opening about Ron. :(

Leno mentioned Paul again tonight (FRI), this time in a positive way and made fun of Santorum.

Yeah, his name was mentioned during a joke about how much money Santorum has raised, and it was a positive mention because they showed Ron Paul in 2nd place raising $4.5 million. But right before that there was a joke about Ron that was not positive, as I noted a couple posts above.

I think name mentioning him in these settings is a plus atm... if people dunno who he is; they can go look him up.

ron paul has been on jay leno before. I think it is time for him to be on again asap:) rpf phone and email bomb to get ron on lenos show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now is the time to send Leno some respectful requests to have Ron on as a guest, especially after Bachmann just was on. I'll be sending one tomorrow. :)

oh no, Leno just played the drunk Ron Paul supporter video!

he made the video out to be a TV advertisement for Ron Paul, then at the end it said "PAID FOR BY DRUNKS FOR RON PAUL - RON PAUL 2012". lol.

Jay will be Jay :-)

I doubt that late-night fodder changes minds of any voters.

yeah, I laughed this one off. No harm done really and it was kind of funny. The stuff last week about him letting people die was pissing me off though.

Wow, I missed last night's (Monday) monologue and just now watched the video on the NBC website... Ron Paul was mentioned Monday too! So that's 6 nights in a row!!! If you want to see the video, it's at 5:15.

Basically he said Ron Paul reminded him of Jeff Dunham's puppet "Walter", and compared the two side by side on the screen. Here is the screenshot if you don't feel like watching the video and waiting through a 60 second ad.

If anyone is wondering I also watched last week's Monday episode to see if Ron Paul was mentioned during the monologue and he was not. So the streak officially stands at 6.
