Anyone besides me cringe when RP...

no. global warming is a normal cycle. sheeple and idiots might cringe since they don't research anything and take what the media spoonfeeds them. So it's probably best if Ron Paul doesn't talk about that unless he explains it thoroughly to people, because if you knew about what global warming really is, you wouldn't cringe.

You have all these other issues to think about such as...... FOREIGN POLICY, MONETARY POLICY, civil liberties... and here you are cringing when he talks about Global warming(he is neutral to it since there are 2 sides to the story not just the one that is stuffed into our heads by the TV).

to quote myself from a different thread:

I do believe global warming exists. It's a huge issue to me, and it's one definite place I disagree with libertarians on. However, I do think Ron Paul makes some great points. Watch

starting at 4 minutes.
Note that he's the only candidate:
1. providing a path to getting off fossil fuels.
2. talking about ending ethanol and other subsidies
3. talking about LEGALIZING hemp!
4. talking about DEPLETED URANIUM. A presidential candidate talking about this is huge.
5. talking about a very different type of environmental protection - property rights. Note that this is where I don't totally agree with libertarians.
Basically, while I don't agree with him on all aspects of libertarian theory, I do think he has the most robust solution. I also think he has, by FAR, the best understanding of the petro-dollar and its role in the wars of this century. Given that he is a candidate for peace, this also means he has a great interest in ending our reliance on oil and ending the petro-dollar (by re-instituting the gold standard).
Basically, what I'm saying here is that Ron Paul understands the economics of war. And he wants to pull the carpet out from under the bankers, oilmen, and military industrial complex. If we're talking about the environment, we must realize that war is the destroyer. Anyone who is truly pro-peace and pro-environment MUST research these issues. Ron Paul is the only one even talking about them.

You've been conditioned by the media to cringe whenever someone doubts the religion of global warming.

People need to stop using the term global warming. While warming can happen, that is not the only or most profound effect of massive world-wide greenhouse gas infusion.

Global climate instability is a much more accurate term.

The planet undergoes massive climate changes, it happens without us, the time we spend trying to fight global warming would be more productively spent on figuring out what exactly what changes are happening and what the end result will be so we can plan better for the future.

Did you guys believe in the global cooling scare in the 80's as well? How about acid rain? Or DDT? Gullable little girls, you are.

You also have to consider the audience he was targetting...

Conservatives normally aren't into the global warming bit.

Let's just say the climate does goes through natural changes. What do you do when the Maldives goes underwater or Florida sinks? No matter the reason everyone agrees the temperatures are changing. What are we going to do about it?

Global warming is another guilt trip put on the American people. We are led to believe that only the Government can fix it and it will require us to give up even more civil liberties to stem the warming of the planet, the melting of the polar icecaps, and the imminent destruction of us all.

Just like the War-On-Terror mind games (why are our borders wide open?)
Just like the War-On Drugs mind games (why are our borders wide open?)

It is obvious that global warming is real and it is also a fact that it is a natural phenomenon that the earth goes through from time to time.

Simply Google: history of climate change or global warming and you will see it is natural.

Liberty, quote for truth. And thanks for putting some REAL info in here, not Al gore speak.

Anyone want to try and nominate Ron for the nobel prize? He deserves it more than gore does =)

lol, global cooling...wasn't it Ted Danson who did those ads saying the planet would be deep in an ice age and we'd all be dead by the year 2000? Trying to scare everyone to death, trying to get legislation passed to favor their buddies...and donations to their favorite organizations...

The more things change, the more they stay the same. ;)
