Has anyone on here actually bought crypto? If so where do you buy it? Right now I'm using Kraken it it is pretty terrible. So far it is only allowing me to purchase crypto ever couple of days. Most of the times when I try to buy it gives me a message saying sorry your purchase could not be processed. Maybe there are better exchanges out there?

I have been in crypto for a long time. I primarily use coinbase, it's fine for me. But I do more long term trading and not so much trendy stuff.

I have some ripple coin on Uphold.com because that was the only site that carried it back when I bought it. I don't recommend it though - standard dumbed-down interface. If you got used to a high power trading platform like Thinkorswim at any point then forget it... Uphold is one of the kiddie sites like Robinhood that doesn't even give the ability to draw trend lines.

Yeah after spending 5 minutes in a login circle jerk wherein I need to receive a text at a phone number I don't have in order to change the phone number on my account, I cannot recommend coinbase.

What? That is not correct. I have been using Coinbase for several years - never paid a dime for any subscription.

Ok I stand corrected. When I Google coinbase. Everything comes up as Coinbase One which must be the subscription premium service.

Correct. You don't need Coinbase One unless you plan to trade *a lot*. Coinbase One offers lower transaction fees on buying/selling/(trading/swapping), so if you are dealing with large values or frequent/high volume actions, you might save money using it, but most folks who are just starting or dabbling will do just fine with a basic Coinbase account, which is free.
