Anyone a StarCraft fan?

I've played SC2, but I'm not an official beta tester or anything. I'd be down for play some Brood War later in the weekend though.:)

Nice, I remember watching Slayers' Boxer and Grrrr playin back in the day when they were the kings of Starcraft. You should see SC2 replays, the system they have in play (and you can see it operate on youtube) is really impressive, shows all sorts of economic info like stats like avg mineral gathering/min ..what units theyre selecting, because remember in sc1 you didnt know what buttons they were pressing and now you can see all of that, shows what theyre building , etc. lots more functionality

I am MPBaark on the european server btw, I am allways up for a noobtasticly epic battle with anyone who is game ;)
 
I read that SC2 Collector's Edition will include both the original SC as well as the expansion, so if you've lost your disks/keys like I have, it might be worth checking out.
 
I played in the fall and spring of 2002 at Texas A&M. It was fun, was the only computer game I have ever played.

Was a big C&C Red alert fan back in the early 90s. I used to play my friends over a straight dial up computer to computer connection...no internet involved. Those were the days.

I'd consider giving this game a try though.

Have you made sure it is legit? Because that is a pretty damn low price. I know that the blizzcon beta keys for example don't actually guarentee access to the SC2 beta, just "a beta" which could be any blizzard game currently in beta (which MIGHT only be SC2 but i'm not sure, it was a couple of weeks ago at least when i researched it) And you still have to wait for them to give you access if you bought a blizzcon key...

(i am asking because last time i checked legit beta keys were going for 200 dollars easy even though only a fool or someone hoping to get a head start and possibly have a shot at going pro would pay that...)

yeah its confirmed. I have registered the key with my Battle.net account and am downloading the client right now.


what happened was the guy who was selling the key was banned from ebay and had the auction canceled so he emailed me and offered it for cheap.

Lol, a great free-market example of risk v. reward. I don't know how much I would trust doing business with someone who got banned from ebay.

he got banned from ebay for putting the key up for auction.. its against Blizzard's user agreement and they actively seek out these auctions and have ebay shut them down..

he had 100% feedback before he was banned.. and it was only a risk of 20 bucks.. but it worked out.

I am up for some games, i suck as well :)

I just have to figure out if i can get an account on the american servers... I should be able to i hope. I have only played for a couple of months even though i got the game when it originally came out, but i didn't realise just how awesome the game is untill i discovered pro starcraft and the whole community of starcraftplayers around the world.
