Ann Coulter says Marco Rubio and Rand Paul are too short to be President

James Madison was 5'4. Rand is 3-4 inches taller than he was.

I'm 5'7 so FU Coulter.

Robert Reich is 4'11." Rand is 5'7" or 5'8." Just because Ann Coulter wants to have carnal knowledge of the NBA All-star team doesn't mean it has political relevance or leadership relevance. How would Ann like it if Fox News regulated female appearances inversely to Adams Apple size?

BTW James Madison was 5'4"

Presidents since Truman
Truman 5'9
Eisenhower 5'11
JFK 6'0
LBJ 6'3
Nixon 6'0
Ford 6'0
Reagan 6'1
Bush 1 6'2
Clinton 6'3
Bush 2 6'0
Obama 6'1

sad truth, last time we have a President who was 5'8.... Zachary Taylor. I'm not discouraged, because I don't think voters make a conscious decision about this, but it's not, not there.

And there were people who thought Rand wouldn't be able to beat Jack Conway, so this is going to happen in any election.

Or Trey Grayson

And he somehow vanquished both.

Most people will never see the presidential candidates in person. Voters won't be able to tell how tall they really are. Madonna became an international superstar and stands about 5' 3". Height doesn't matter.

voters can ABSOLUTELY tell, especially women. also height matters for men much more so than for women. any sub 6'0 man will have much a tougher time getting a leadership position. it's an unconscious thing as thequietkid10 well pointed out.

those are only official i.e bullsheet numbers . . .
Bush43 was only head-butting a 6-foot high jump pit bar with his heels on.

As others have said, the taller candidate tends to win elections. It's not an absolute rule, but it's how shallow, uninformed voters tend to decide.

Shorter celebrities are ultra-conscious about who they stand next to in pictures, film, or on the stage. Rand may need to do this also, as the media will attempt to set him up. IIRC, they already did it to him once, by having him do a standing interview with an extra tall reporter.

ann is a complete idiot. i am now convinced she is just a stupid talking head. i thought at one point years ago she at least made some kind of sense evry so often. to talk about someones height as a presidential credential is absurd and does NOTHING but diminish the person youre speaking of in the eyes of the blind sheep. thats her goal now imo about rand.

Hilary is 5-7
btw, I have stood next to now-Secretary of State Kerry back in 1984 . . .
he must be like 6-4

Rand's 5'8, I guess that just means he'll be a relatively short president. Not a big deal. Standing next to Rubio, he doesn't seem all that short. If he gets the nomination, then most likely he'll be running against a woman Democratic nominee, who he'll be taller than.

Why is this socially acceptable? Imagine if someone had said, "Candidate X is too black to be president." Or, "Candidate Y is too disabled to be president." For Ann, "Baby, your chest is too small to be commentator on FOX news."

Why is it ok to make fun of short people in our society? There's nothing you can do about how tall you are, and those who are tall haven't earned it anymore than a trust-fund baby earned his fortune.

There wasn't TV back then.

There wasn't social media back then.

Unfortunately, I think Ann Coulter is correct.

However, Rand can use it for his favor, along with his wild hair.

well appearance does play a factor, lets not kid ourselves. But its only one of many factors. However the success of Mann Coulter shows humans can rise above their physical deformities and be successful, she of all people should know that

There's numerous potential women Democratic nominee's too. Hillary Clinton, Kirsten Gillibrand, Janet Napolitano, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and etc... Or even if Raham Emanuel win's somehow, Rand is taller than him too.
