Ann Coulter says Marco Rubio and Rand Paul are too short to be President

There's numerous potential women Democratic nominee's too. Hillary Clinton, Kirsten Gillibrand, Janet Napolitano, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and etc... Or even if Raham Emanuel win's somehow, Rand is taller than him too.

the weight of Rands gonads make him look shorter than he is.

Rand refused to take his flinstones as a kid and as a Libertarian, Ron did not object to his son not being drugged by force.

Clinton is 6'-3"???? You must be kidding! I always guessed he was about 5'-9 or 10.

Regarding appearances, I'd say it IS true that voters are more likely to vote for the more "attractive" candidate (you can define that however you want)...

.... BUT ONLY if there is absolutely nothing else to compare. But if a candidate has an amazing record, an amazing energy, a passionate following, and has captured the hearts and minds, then it doesn't matter what he looks like. As another user pointed out, Rand overwhelmingly defeated his taller Senate campaign opponents because he completely had them beat on the issues and on the energy.

If it matters that much Rand can just pull a Robert Redford.

Robert has never been in a photo or a movie shot that makes him look short his entire career.

Its no accident. Rand just needs editorial control. :D

And there were people who thought Rand wouldn't be able to beat Jack Conway, so this is going to happen in any election.

Or Trey Grayson

And he somehow vanquished both.

Isn't Grayson, like 6'-6" or something?..

As others have said, the taller candidate tends to win elections. It's not an absolute rule, but it's how shallow, uninformed voters tend to decide.

Shorter celebrities are ultra-conscious about who they stand next to in pictures, film, or on the stage. Rand may need to do this also, as the media will attempt to set him up. IIRC, they already did it to him once, by having him do a standing interview with an extra tall reporter.

Rand's appearance is top notch. He has a great voice and a great communicative oratory style. He can easily manage any height issues from the podium or TV studio.

She can trash-talk Rand's height all she wants, but she'd better not diss his hair. Rand's hair will kick her scrawny ass ...

Rand's height may be an issue during debates and such. Guys like Santorum are going to tower over him. I don't think it's going to destroy's Rand's chances, but let's be truthful guys. It is going to at least be a slight deterrent. People knocked Ron for his appearance, and he's several inches taller than Rand.

She did accurately predict we would have Romney as nominee and that he would lose.

I and a LOT of other people made exactly the same prediction.

It was rather like predicting that the sun would rise in the east.

At best, it means Coulter was not as self-deluded as a lot of other people were.

Was going to say the same thing, and also, the actual quote from CPAC was "If we don't run Chris Christie, then Romney will win and we'll lose", essntially nothing more than scaremongering in favor of the stronger establsihment hack, before later hitching her wagon to the Romney train when she saw which way the wind was blowing.

Let's not pretend that she's any different than any of the other media whores.

Every time one of these threads about Ann Coulter saying something outlandish, I ask myself the same question: What has Ann Coulter ever done or accomplished? Does she just jump on every hot topic and write books about it and go on TV shows to talk and diss people? If that's the case then we probably shouldn't even feed her fame by mentioning her name. We don't need to encourage any more useless people in our society.
