"Remember this name. Edward Ronquillo is the man who cost Paul thousands of votes and millions of dollars in Iowa. During Ron Paul's Xmas Break, Ronquillo ensured no one could access the master list of Paul supporters in Iowa, a list that was larger than Huckabee's.
Ronquillo was a pathological liar. Driving with him through Iowa, he would exclaim how "My dad worked there" and "My Uncle did this" as the car drove past factories and farmhouses. It did not take long for those near him to discount him as such. The lying turned malicious when he repeatedly asked for more and more responsibilities. As a self proclaimed computer programming genius, Ronquillo was put in charge of entering data from thousands of index cards and excel files into a master list of all Paul supporters in Iowa.
Thus, Ronquillo went off to Starbucks every day to enter data. He reported to Jeff Frazee and Dallas Moorhead that his progress was timely, and was put in charge of making a program to match precinct numbers with addresses. Ronquillo again went off to Starbucks.
Voter turnout in Iowa is historically very low, so getting out the vote is paramount. Only a few thousand supporters statewide make the difference. Our list was thousands of people long. We were set to take a strong third.
Come the 2nd, the hundreds of volunteers in Iowa were to start being assigned phone lists so that they could call on the 3rd for supporters to caucus for Paul. We also were to offer rides. Ronquillo was nowhere to be found. He apparently went to the emergency room. The lists were apparently with him, and he stalled and stalled until he stopped answering his phone entirely and disappeared. Thus, we had to start from scratch the day of the caucuses. Dozens of students did data entry and the list only came out around 4PM, with many camps not getting them until 6, an hour before the caucus.
Ronquillo, it turns out, spent his time in Starbucks trying to meet women on the campaign's dime. The lists were never made. He lied and lied until everything collapsed, and then he lied some more. He ruined Iowa single handedly.
Jeff and Dallas did an excellent job in Iowa. It is not their fault that this happened, but they and the campaign should have backed up the list, and supervised Ronquillo's progress. Instead, they trusted the volunteer who for all we know did this on purpose.

He will go down in history as the biggest loser. His name is easy to remember because the surname Ronquillo comes from the Spanish word "roncar" meaning to snore.
