----------> ALERT : Wyoming's Caucuses are taking place NOW <----------

Man...whatever happened to: One person...One vote. Seems like all this complication is designed to disenfranchise people.

Thanks Diana not only for your effort and initiative but for posting your story! I was strongly compelled to stay up until someone wrote in.

Any updates on how we did????

There's no way to know except by polling the PCs. The PCs are the delegates to the county convention unless there was an empty spot in a precinct - then whoever showed up got to be named the delegate to the convention. There's still 20 counties to go, so if we can get RP supporters to get their butts in there - there's a chance.

This reminds me of what it's like to go to a "neighborhood meeting" with a city official or a police captain. Maybe 7 citizens show up out of a precinct with 3,000 people.

What this really does is show, just how hollow the party is. "Normal people" don't participate in face to face politics at the precinct level. They just show up to vote in the general election.

I'm worried a lot of RP supporters in Wyoming didn't show up. :( There has to be a way to get the word out to the other counties' supporters.

We really need to organize for the next caucus. Can we get emails, phone numbers and the meet up groups ready for the next one? Who has access to this information? This is a priority.

We need to do this tonight. Luckily Cheyenne is on the ball.

Yes, we need to organize now and get the word out early tomorrow morning. It's to late to alert anyone now, people are sleeping, but we need to get everything together..

Just got off the phone with Carl - the coordinator for the state, and he's getting the info out to as many as he can. There are 12 counties that are more important than the others, because when it comes time to send delegates to the National Convention those are the ones that choose the delegates, while the other counties only choose alternates. Three of the four counties with caucuses tomorrow are among those 12 important counties: Goshen, Teton and Converse. People in those counties need to be reached ASAP and he's going to do what he can to get word out to them. Man. . . besides contacting the meetups - which he's doing, anyone have any ideas? I don't know anyone in those counties.

yup cheyenne has alot of openings. more openings than there are members in the meetup group apparently. but at least they are aware of their caucus

lol, isn't this interesting, this is probably the most interest Wyoming has had on the internet... ever.

Goshen, Teton, Park, and Converse counties are all having their county caucuses tomorrow (December 12).
