----------> ALERT : Wyoming's Caucuses are taking place NOW <----------

!!! I just got back. Every Ron Paul supporter in WY NEEDS to go to these!!

What we did is divide up by precinct, and some precincts didn't have anyone at all show up. There were 3 of us in mine - the 2 precinct committee people and me.

PCs are automatic delegates to the county convention on Jan. 5th - but I'm now an alternate in case either of them can't make it, and if there were vacancies in any precinct, they were filled tonight by those people who showed up. In addition, there was a list to write down names of people to be considered for the Statewide convention, and anyone can be on that list, doesn't matter their precinct, and from that list they'll choose delegates. I'm on that list now.

We also went over the state gop platform, and resolutions making any changes we wanted which is a prime opportunity to have your voice directly heard!! We just sat at our precinct tables and read through all the listed resolutions and platform stances and crossed things out, added things, etc.

As we were wrapping up, a newspaper guy stopped by our table and asked a few questions as to who we were supporting and so on. The PCs from my precinct are for Romney, and when I said I was for Ron Paul the lady said, "Oh ARE you now? We have gotten SO much literature from him!!" So, someone's doing their job getting info to the PCs!! Unfortunately, it didn't have enough effect on my precinct's PCs, but hey there's always the chance I'll get to go in place of one of them as the alternate. Also, I gave my PCs my name and phone number, and they'll call me if they need any help with poll-watching, etc.

Definitely, definitely, every WY supporter needs to go to their caucus! Three counties are done now, but there's still another 20 where we can make a difference in a lot of ways!

Quote bump... once again, this is BS - I don't like how people are "automatically" in..

Decide now people. Do we want to win at youtube and digg
or do we want to win the actual election?

That's great to hear! Although it sucks that the established ones are for Romney. You should tell the other meet up groups about your experiences so they know to bring as many people out as possible.

All of these 'precinct committee' people are probably already paid off by the 'toptier' candidates.

disgusting that our voice doesn't really matter

Yeah, I know - the PCs were elected in 2006 - but there are a lot of vacancies still that can be filled by Ron Paul supporters, and going to their caucus is the best way to do that.

Tomorrow Goshen, Teton, Park and Converse counties are up. We've got to get people into those seats.

Call people you know, offer the apathetic to take them out to dinner if they attend.
