My suggestion my friend is to buy .22lr tonight...like now. It is currently new normal prices. The new normal might be different next week. I can't wait for it to disapear again and spend my time plinking for hours at the range while people look at me in envy because I got it while it was cheap.

Also, buy the HIGH quality bulk ammo.

For instance, if you have an AR15, but the MK318, MK262, or Barnes TSX loads because those are some of the best 5.56 rounds on the market. If you need cheap bulk buy M193, but skip M855. M193 is superior against soft targets.

My 22lr stock is ok. I've never succumbed to the freak out over it because I no longer use it for target practice. But I probably will buy a few boxes the next time I'm at a store. The 22 freakout is a self-fulfilling one. If it isn't already, it will become common for even the anti-gunners to inherit closets full of .22 ammo. In the next 20-30 years .22 ammo is going to be a more common inheritance than any other physical inheritance.

I've shot a lot of .22 in my life. Tbh most animals I've killed died from it. It's good for not making a mess and it's good for teaching new shooters but I'm not going rely on it any time soon.

An LAPD source who has been well-briefed tells us, one of the gunman showed up for some sort of Christmas party for employees of the San Bernardino County Health Dept. The party was being held in one of the conference rooms that was rented out for the event ... and when the gunman returned, he went to same room and shot it up.

Breaking: Female suspect identified. Her name is "Yesima Islam Ik-Tarot-Est".

No motives or connections are yet known.

Name is actually Tashfeen Malik, said to be married and have a six month old daughter. She and Farook are believed to be the only gunmen. He is US born and worked at that place for the last five years. He was at a work Christmas party when some sort of disagreement occurred. He went home, got weapons and body armor and came back and started shooting up the place. Latest is fourteen dead and seventeen injured. They got away and went back home but police acting on a tip found them there. A chase ensued and both were killed in a shootout on the highway. The bomb squad has been called in before they try to search the home they lived in just in case there are any explosives.
