A Message from Ron - No 3P Run, we will continue the fight..

I think we shouldn't write in Ron Paul's name in the general election if he's not running. We should support the Libertarian party, they hold essentially the same beliefs as Dr. Paul himself. This Revolution isn't about one man, but the message.

We can be a huge boost to the Lib. party's voting base. We should stick together and make a difference where it can be felt the most strongly.

Except the Libertarian party has never shown an ability to elect anyone, anywhere. If the r3VOLution message is to carry forward, it ought to be through the GOP. That's where it began to begin with.

I'm going to jump in here, and I say this in all respect... It's not love of the GOP, it's actually the opposite.

If you look at Dem votes vs Rep votes so far, the GOP is failing. I'm seeing reports in other threads that many local GOPs are very weak and vulnerable. The GOP already has the infrastructure we need, we just need to claim it as ours.

We have been pulled from many walks of life here, some Reps, some Dems, some indys/3rd parties, and some people who never even cared. But we all agree on the message. Who cares what the "official" GOP stands for tonight, when we can have it stand for our message tomorrow?

I think it's pretty clear COLECROWE is being sincere, and I for one care how he feels and appreciate his point of view. I've been reading through this entire thread and I appreciate the diversity in points of view and sincere expressions thereof. I've found his posts interesting and thought provoking. Belittling him, calling him a spammer, and so on, strikes me as ignorant and borderline sociopathic.

It is probable that Ron will go back to the house and vote for his principles, even if he's voting alone.

I'll go to the voting booth in the general election and do the same. - this announcement changes nothing for me.

It makes no difference to me if Ron runs as a third party or not. A third party had very little likelihood of winning anyway. So what is the actual difference if you write in Ron Paul or vote for him under a third party? None.

Ron's still running - I'm still voting.

The battles we fought were not in vain. We must continue and seek our foes in new battles to come. We have built an army of patriots that number in the millions, and now the torch is on our hands to light the way for others to join.

We must remain steadfast and secure in the knowledge that we can change the political landscape as we have done already. NO NO, There's no need to do that! I violated every rule of anything . This is not about me. I just wish people would HAVE HOPE and would communicate that to Ron Paul. The truth is, right now it's 85% sure that he won't get the Nomination. By the end of the day on March 4th, that may be 98% sure that he won't get it, OR it may be 50/50 or better. What I am saying is that if it turns out on that day to be the 98% sure he won't get it, then we should all support an iNDY run. That seems extremely wise and wonderful. He COULD win it iNDY. We COULD raise 100 million. We would have hundreds of thousands of precinct leaders join up.

The time is now to change our country, take it back. Ron Paul must fight--even at the expense of his congressional seat--if anything's ever been worth anything--this is the time.

Ross perot spent 100 million IN TODAY'S DOLLARS and came extremely close to doing it. That was a recession, this one might be worse--plus if it's hillary and mccain, everyone hates them. plus 70% of the country is against the war.

Plus Ron Paul is way more amazin than Ross Perot, and we have 1000 times more grassroots support than he did.

Once again, last post i promise this time, I'm sorry. I don't think an apology is enough though. Because if I was sincere, I wouldn't have posted it in the first place. Redcard was right, and maybe I was right in a way, too. Anyway, I just hope you guys fight for the presidency of Ron Paul.

hopefully I get to see you on March 4th, whether it's to continue fighting in the GOP because he won some states and went way up in the polls, or because he declared his iNDY run. if neither of those happen, I guess I won't be seeing you.

Hey - some positive spin here - He just stated his LOYALTY to the Republican party.

This may get some people to take a second look at him.

That's how I'm reading it. He's making a statement, letting the GOP see that he is remaining loyal to the Republican party. If he was to even hint at a third party run it would completely destroy his chances of holding onto his seat in Congress, and it would ruin his credibility within the Rep Party.

Think of how the Reps feel about John McCain's attempt to cross party lines to be the VP of Kerry. That little escapade has come back around to become bad mark on old Johnny boy.

Ron Paul is simply stating that he is to remain loyal to the Rep party, and asking us to remain loyal to him, which I have every intention of doing.
