OK...I'll try to be brief.

The BIGGEST thing that IRKS me about this campaign is the lack of MSM media coverage.

We keep nailing the comments on obscure websites....the houston chronicle and other minor article that never get enough replies to make any ripples.

But you all know, as I do, that we've been HAMMERING the web with these positive posts.

But what if we ALL ORGANIZED and mass emailed (in a positive, intelligent manner) a GIANT MSM newspaper? I mean an LA, Washington, or New York paper.

And I mean MASS emails. 50,000 plus. Not spamming..but from every Ron Paul supporter we can muster up.

If we all emailed one guy or just letters to the editor, we'd HAVE to get recognized. Thoughts?

Also, I posted this in another thread, but I'd like to find a 'counter' site....where we can get EVERY RP supporter to sign up (ONE TIME ONLY). This would give us all a place to track our national voter support. When we convert someone, we ask them to sign up, so we know we are growing (and falling behind..if that happens).

Thoughts, ideas?

I like the counter idea, don't know about the mass e-mail one. Seems too easy to misrepresent

Sounds great!! The upside could be huge... and how could it hurt???

Maybe a massive physical letter writing campaign instead of an email one?

I'm up for that...but honestly that will deter some people from doing it.
Email is much easier than writing a letter and mailing it...as sad as it sounds...I think we all know that.

When quarterly earnings come out I am expecting some serious mainstream media coverage. It should put Paul in third... by my guesswork. Perhaps fourth, but I don't think Fred can be counted because he won't have submitted any.

Please understand I mean no harsh intentions...but isn't that a bit presumptuous?
My personal opinion is we can't 'hope' for good numbers.

I think we need to push forward, doubling our efforts.

PS - I've found a site called clubspaces.com, and it appears to be free.
Not sure how they'll feel when I get 200,000 member :D but I HOPE we get to find out.

I've created a club called "Ron Paul 2008", but they say it won't be ready for a day or two.

I think the MSM sees RP as an enigma.. Most of MSM is pro-status quo.. To them, RP is more of a curiosity than a threat.. At least for now.. It's my opinion and hope, that as we talk to others face to face about RP, his popularity will catch on in the "real world," just like it did in the "virtual world."

RP went viral online because his message caught on.. There wasn't a secret or a technique to it.. It resonated of it's own, for Liberty is but another word for Life..

Anyway, we gotta talk to people out in the "real world.." Educate them about Liberty and about RP.. It might take time, it's an effort sometimes, but it will pay serious dividends as his popularity rises.. When the MSM starts seeing offline support for RP, they will no longer be able to see him as an enigma, but as a major player..

I have personally "converted" all (well, most) of my friends, they love him! I also make sure to bring up politics ASAP when I'm speaking with a stranger.. If they don't like things they seem to like RP quite a bit.. But if they like the status quo, there's no budging them, so I change the subject to the weather or something.. ;)

In conclusion, I think the best plan of action would be to move the online campaign offline.. It's completely viral online and doesn't need as much support as the offline campaign needs.. Get out in public and talk to people..
