You all have to make your own decisions as I have already made mine.
Do you want to be apart of a gradual MOVEMENT.
Or do you want to MAKE HISTORY NOW by getting Ron Paul ELECTED?
We need to make history now. There are too many laws being passed that strip away freedoms and liberties. These are not theoretical and (as Ron Paul has pointed out) could negatively impact the freedom movement. If we don't have someone in the white house who checks government overreach as it applies to civil liberties we won't have the capacity for the same type of movement that we do now. I won't go recite the laundry list again here, I'm sure many Paul supporters know them already. But the short version is that access to freedom of speech and assembly are both being reduced. Think about what trying to get anyone elected in 2016 will be like if the corporate media becomes even more dominant over the flow of information?
Think about how much changed during the two terms of W
Think about how much changed during the one term of Obama
Now do you really think we have the time to wait for a gradual movement?
Here's a tactic stolen from physical trainers and competitive fighters, it's 'social accountability'
Here's what I have done:
Started conversations about Ron Paul
Gathered useful information (like delegate information and primary/caucus dates) and shared it with RP supporters I know
Volunteered with a veterans group supporting Paul
Gotten members of my family to reg Republican so they can vote Paul in our state
Had long civil conversations about Paul with deeply partisan Dems in my family so they at least now thing Paul > rest of the GOP
Politely but firmly requested people to
prove it each time I have seen or heard the 'newsletters/racist' smear
Challenged people to find and example via
www.govtrack.us when they question RPs integrity, intentions or record.
Started conversations with politically active people to point out that civil liberties
effectively trump all other concerns because without them you lose the ability to address the other concerns.
Donated to Ron Paul (then donated again

)
What I have not done and should:
Made Calls for Paul from home. <--- this is a big deal, and while there are reason it's hard for me to pull it off the fact is that "hard" shouldn't stop me, or any of us from getting things done.
Who wants to 'match me' and post a list of things you've done and things you need to do? Let's get motivated and get active.
