A challenge to the grassroots: you really want to win? quit fussing & get to work!!

This thread is about ACTION and NOT TALK. If you're going to need to rely on people watching television to learn about Ron...maybe it is time to re-think your strategy.
Reminds me of the guy working hard transferring water using a bucket with a hole in it. Plenty of action but little results. Here is some effective action for you:

1. Contact the campaign to get them to put out electability, foreign policy and seniors ads.

2. Ditto for Super PACs.

3. During phone banking and/or other discussions, deal with people's objections against the Paul candidacy.

4. Email or call media houses that distort or misrepresent Paul's positions.

5. Explain confusing things clearer in the comments section of online articles.

P/S - I have done all of the above.

You all have to make your own decisions as I have already made mine.

Do you want to be apart of a gradual MOVEMENT.

Or do you want to MAKE HISTORY NOW by getting Ron Paul ELECTED?

We need to make history now. There are too many laws being passed that strip away freedoms and liberties. These are not theoretical and (as Ron Paul has pointed out) could negatively impact the freedom movement. If we don't have someone in the white house who checks government overreach as it applies to civil liberties we won't have the capacity for the same type of movement that we do now. I won't go recite the laundry list again here, I'm sure many Paul supporters know them already. But the short version is that access to freedom of speech and assembly are both being reduced. Think about what trying to get anyone elected in 2016 will be like if the corporate media becomes even more dominant over the flow of information?
Think about how much changed during the two terms of W
Think about how much changed during the one term of Obama
Now do you really think we have the time to wait for a gradual movement?

Here's a tactic stolen from physical trainers and competitive fighters, it's 'social accountability'

Here's what I have done:
Started conversations about Ron Paul
Gathered useful information (like delegate information and primary/caucus dates) and shared it with RP supporters I know
Volunteered with a veterans group supporting Paul
Gotten members of my family to reg Republican so they can vote Paul in our state
Had long civil conversations about Paul with deeply partisan Dems in my family so they at least now thing Paul > rest of the GOP
Politely but firmly requested people to prove it each time I have seen or heard the 'newsletters/racist' smear
Challenged people to find and example via www.govtrack.us when they question RPs integrity, intentions or record.
Started conversations with politically active people to point out that civil liberties effectively trump all other concerns because without them you lose the ability to address the other concerns.
Donated to Ron Paul (then donated again ;) )

What I have not done and should:
Made Calls for Paul from home. <--- this is a big deal, and while there are reason it's hard for me to pull it off the fact is that "hard" shouldn't stop me, or any of us from getting things done.

Who wants to 'match me' and post a list of things you've done and things you need to do? Let's get motivated and get active.

maybe after this many loses we will be pumped enough to get out there.

Think Ron Paul is doing badly this election? Get out there and do something about it!
Think Ron Paul is doing excellently this election? Get out there and become a part of it!

Think you know a better way to win your local election than the Official Campaign? Get out there and DO IT!
Don't have time to get out there? Phone from home and donate to the campaign, then donate again and get back to the phones!

The goal this election cycle is to defend and restore liberty through action, what have you done today to defend liberty?

Great post...WA, AK, many caucuses to come...PREPARE LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO WAR.

This thread just got me pumped +Rep

I've really come to realize that I am young enough (24) and without DIRE responsibilities (Kids/Family) and that on my Saturdays now, my idea of a good time isn't barhopping and pounding brews (That's for AFTER this election when I can drink to a President Paul) but getting out there and become very involved into my Meetup group. I've recently just been promoted to an event organizer and I WANT TO OWN IT...

You live in Missouri? Guess what! Lincoln Days Caucus Workshop on Feb 18, from 1:30 to 3:30. It costs $20. Get some people from your meetup and carpool to this bad boy and learn the Caucus system inside and out. Then TEACH this information. Pass out Robert's Rules of Order cheat sheets. Photo copy and share your notes. Hold mock caucus (Video tape it and make DVDs) around your county and hell contact surrounding counties other meetups and offer to hold seminars for them as-well.

The more people that know the system, the more organized it seams, and the more comfortable they are with the process of it will constitute on them GOING TO VOTE! They will see the same people they've been practicing with and know exactly what to expect (absolute chaos and yelling! lol)

Identify in your area the issues that undecided or soft supporters are teetering on and order those ISSUES fliers! I'm in Willard, MO of Greene County of 7th District... We have 3 retirement home locations, they are worried about their contracts of Social Security. I just ordered 300 "NEW Plan to Save America" fliers from the official site. Not only did this donate to the campaign, but it is going to directly clear up a lot of confusion for these old (reliable!) voters are having with Ron Paul's spending cuts. If they have any other concerns (Let them ASK don't PREACH) say that you will GET that information TO THEM. AND DO IT. You have to give respect before you get respect, make them feel like you are working for their vote because THEIR vote COUNTS to vote your slate of delegates to Congressional.

Sorry for the long winded text. I am just pumped and have been wanting to see STRATEGY while I storm the boards. Some of the more interesting things I read on RPF are articles that focus on psychological placement of bumper stickers on your car for maximum exposure. How to and How not to canvas from a sales guru. Delegate strategy information, etc. LETS KEEP THOSE!

And now that I think about it, I haven't been doing a very good job participating in that. From now on anytime I read a great post for great strategy consider it subscribed and bumped with my morning coffee at work.

^^^ dude very proud of you ...just gotta keep pumping yourself up, PM if you need external influence, I can try to hype you up again, haha.

PDF and other info on delegates here:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showth...s!-Wondering-about-your-state-look-no-further!

I've already bookmarked your page for the delegate information along with the Wordpress website and shared it with my Meetup group. A lot of the newer people joining had questions about the Delegate process and I personally couldn't answer them at the time. So I immersed myself into it and made the information available to anyone else that wanted to take a peek.

Killing it my man, that's awesome. Great post I urge people to read this. +rep

For anyone who is wondering THIS is what grassroots power looks like in action, and this is what wins delegates and elections.

Last day to file to be a delegate in Indiana is tomorrow - at NOON.

Primary isn't til May.

I hope too many Hoosiers aren't asleep right now!
