Hope you are a delegate and will be at the convention.
I agree that helping Dan run for congress is a worthy cause. He is a great guy.
It does not have to be $100.00 just whatever you can to help fellow Hawaiians from the outer islands get there.
PM Suzy potaka if you are a delegate, you will like her. Gonaa be a fun time. Wish I could be there at the convention.

Mahalo- as we say in the Islands. Totally appreciate your support. Interisland travel has become so expensive and people who work in the visitor industry as giving up their most lucrative shifts to attend the convention. It's a double whammy.

Hey mauicelt. Hope you are a delegate or alternate there. Even alternates should be seated according to the rules so you should go if you can.
I hear you on the tourism thing and that you guys lose big money having to go to Oahu on a weekend for the convention. Hope the rest of the country understands this.
Not only do you have to pay round trip airfare (and you have lost two airlines to bankruptcy making the flights even more expensive) but also the big convention fees of $200.00 plus and have to crash on someones couch.
That is asking allot. Can we please have a bit more support here?
I am owing $30.00 more for-the additional donations since my last Chip in for the 50% matching funds. I'm good for that.
Just waiting to make the total matching fund donation or whatever is there tomorrow.
Think about that fat welfare check coming from the treasury department folks!!
Your economic stimulus welfare check is in the mail and will arrive before your credit card statement which includes your donation to the Hawaiians.
Please give and understand that every $10.00 you chip in will become $15.00 total.

Hello All, Update on the matching funds program.
We started with $801 in the chip in. We went up $154.56 which included Ranchers $50.00.
Rancher suggested leaving out his donation to use those matching funds for smaller donations so the idfference net was $104.56. (thanks agian Rancher!)
As posted earlier I donated the 50% of that amount or $52.27 which brought the total to 23 donations and $1,007.83.
So now we are up to 26 donations and $1,167.83 Thanks for those two donations!!
I owe for Donations # 23 - $10.00

I am very embarrassed to say I just tried donating this and pay pal gave me an error message that I need to confirm the card since I have gone over my limit. This means I call my bank and I live out for the country and have only one card. So I need to call the bank and get that 4 digit code in order to proceed. The bank has no customer service on Sundays.
So I am not scamming here and will be matching this amount plus up to $140.00 more in donations to get me to the $200.00 limit I mentioned in the original post.
So for donations up to $1,307 total consider this amount to be matched when I get this card straightened out which I will do.
So I owe at this point an additional $80.00 plus any more donations up to $1,307 at 50%.
Sorry about the confusion and I assure everyone this amount will be donated.
And if anyone sees an error on my math please let me know.

I'm from the Big Island. Sad to say I didn't even know who Ron Paul was in February so I never got involved with anything yet. I'm currently attending college in Hilo but I'm from Kona. I guess I've missed my chance for this election but I won't let that happen again!
