A Ron Paul Revolutionary.... like his page here: https://www.facebook.com/KerryBentivolio

Goal: 1,000 Likes

Edit: Currently needs 277 more likes - check him out (easy pick up for our movement)

Donate here if you so choose to pick this seat up for our movement: http://bentivolioforcongress.com/

He's running a TV ad, the only republican on the primary ballot, in a republican district. The write-in challenger hand picked by some establishment people, yet doesn't even have a website or even 60 facebook likes.

This is the biggest opportunity to come our way ever - let's take another seat and cut the bullshit

Here's my donation:

Do we know if he's planning any more coordinated fund-raising efforts soon?

Being a Liberty Candidate, we should try to orchestrate something on the 4th of July. Anyone interested? I'd be willing to help make promotional materials.

Justin Amash endorsed Kerry Bentivolio today:

Friends,

We have some very exciting news to share with you.

Today, Congressman Justin Amash announced his endorsement of our campaign! He says he needs a friend like Kerry in Congress who will "defend liberty and the Constitution." One who is "a citizen legislator who won't back down when special interests try to break his resolve."

Will you help give Congressman Amash a friend in Congress that will stand up to special interests and stand up for the principles that made our country great?

A generous countribution of $10, $25, or even $50 today will go along way in helping to send Congressman Amash's ally, Kerry Bentivolio, to Washington.

Also, in case you missed it, we just released our first television ad, "Protect the American Dream". Please check it out and consider making a contribution today to keep our ad on the air.

Thank you for your support,

Bob Dindoffer
Campaign Manager

Rocket Power!

One thing I was wondering, is the establishment candidate running as a write-in for the general election, or for the Republican nomination? I assumed the general at first, but it crossed my mind it might be the primary after the Tea Party speeches by each candidate.

It's for the GOP Primary nomination, which I believe is on Aug. 7th.

What is his stances on foreign policy and fed? I don't see anything about it on his issues page.

Appreciate it. I have donated to quite a few liberty candidates. I agree with what some other posters have posted that we need to find out what seats have the best chances of winning. Wish there was some forum for this where just that type of discussion alone is made so there can be focus of money.

My understanding is this guy has a good chance because McCotter didn't get his signatures in on time, or enough, or something, so he is as strong as anyone at least going into the primary, and it is a good district. I haven't been examining it myself, but that is kinda what I have been reading here, that people think he actually has a chance. Someone else should chime in on that, who has been tracking this.

Kerry Bentivolio said:
We do not have Constitutional authority, nor should we, to intervene in another country’s affairs. It is the responsibility of the citizenry of a sovereign nation to cast off their oppressive government and when achieved, stumble if need be, and work toward a government of their choosing. Perhaps, out of the turbulent chaotic political upheaval of an emerging nation, in one or two generations, there might be found innovation and creative opportunities benefiting us all.

Sounds good to me :)

He has a very good chance, in my opinion, even with the Republican establishment gunning for him. When they redistricted, they dumped most of the Democrat regions, carved out all the heavy Republican upper-class cities from the 9th, and gerrymandered it into the new 11th. He'd be a shoo-in if it weren't for the party bosses.

Make a thread Jeremy. Call it the "20 most vulnerable seats in Congress" or something along those lines. We can weigh all the various factors going into winning those races and hopefully we'll have great candidates step up and run in those states/districts.

262 more facebook likes to go til he hits 1,000, not bad for a congressional candidate.

40 days to go til we have our next Amash in congress!

Threw him $10, may do more later...

Yeah, he's the only guy on the ballot because McCotter screwed up. He's facing a challenge from a former state senator who's running a write-in campaign.

This district was made more Republican friendly in redistricting. McCotter isn't a very good fit for the district, but he should win by merely being the Republican and not doing anything stupid. He's even more favoured though because the Democrat primary candidates are a) a Muslim Pakistani doctor with limited political experience b) a LaRouchie. So, I'd rate the seat as Likely R (Safe R if the LaRouchie wins the primary). I also think Bentivolio is the favorite for the primary as long as he campaigns well and fights back Cassis efforts to paint him as some extremist (again, the Republican electorate in this district is very, very mainstream).

I'm not aware of all "Liberty Candidates", but from those I've heard labelled as such, this is easily your second safest bet (the first being KY-04).
