I was worried about this, but seeing the opinions of some political analysts, I don't think it matters all that much. If the other guy runs, he doesn't even have the name recognition McCotter had, so Bentivolio should win on the basis of being the guy whose name is on the ballot.
 
"Ex-state Sen. Loren Bennett of Canton Township announced his own write-in campaign Friday. But he said Saturday night that he expects to have competition now that McCotter is out.
"The facts have changed. It would not surprise me at all if some of the people who said, 'No, I'm not doing it,' now decide the facts have changed enough that, 'I want to try it,'" Bennett said. "The public deserves options."
Those who have been recruited or have expressed interest include Bingham Farms-based attorney David Trott, former state Rep. Andrew "Rocky" Raczkowski, state Sen. Mike Kowall of White Lake and former Oakland County Republican Party Chairman Paul Welday."

I couldn't make it yesterday but I heard there was a volunteers meeting yesterday morning. Anyone know what's needed?
 
I hope that he is able to get a volunteer to help with his website. There is no way to contact him and it would be nice if he addressed in detail more issues. Also, I hope he does have several events scheduled, but there is nothing past May 3rd on the events section of his page. He should at least be doing informal "meet and greets" throughout the area, with maybe a couple scheduled speeches throughout each week.

But the main problem is there is nowhere on his website to contact him or his campaign both for voters and for news organizations. With the national attention that is coming to this race now, He could probably get on national news programs, or at the very least local news programs and interviews. Even though he is the "only name on the ballot" He has at least one write in challenger and well funded Democratic challengers in the general election.
 
Found out absentee ballots are being mailed out within a couple weeks from today! Timing is everything and we need people to learn about this race and like his facebook, small donations are effective as well right now. They are getting their ground game team of liberty lovers together. Let's hit the entire establishment from all angles, ground, money, social media and we have a new liberty congressman with Amash in Michigan representing, from the heart of the states GOP.
 
This guy seems good but I'm kind of getting a crackpot vibe. Not sure yet, I don't know enough. I just heard of him.
 
This guy seems to know his shit. And he's not so Libertarian that he's unwilling to modify existing regulation in lieu of trashing them.

Let's hope that rich kid SuperPAC gets behind him.

This. To be honest, the first time I listened to Ron Paul I thought he was kinda a crackpot too. Living in an empire of lies makes truth tellers sound kinda crazy.
