Yeah, he's too strong on the abortion issue at the beginning. Personally, I'm pro-choice, but I'm fine with Ron Paul because he leaves it up to the states...

I agree and I am pro-life. I think he should focus on monetary policy, ending the war, states rights, and giving us back our freedoms. I think its a mistake to focus too much on the divisive abortion issue.

i like it but i think the intro part focuses much too strongly on the abortion view. i understand hes trying to reach conservatives but i don't think his ames speech was his best on the subject.

I concur.

I like it overall but this is an early appearance in IA, and I think they purposely are using it because right behind him is the word IOWA on the background, creating a warm and fuzzy home state feeling for the viewer.

I would NOT personally recommend airing THIS particular 30 min spot in another state.

The Ames speech should be immediately swapped out with the Ann Arbor, MI or the Philly speech. If this isn't airing until Dec 22-23, there is more than enough time to do this.

I personally think he should start the infomercial off with his msg of freedom. Not abortion. Abortion could instantly turn a person off, not knowing he would turn that choice over to the states.

That's probably true, but just playing the odds, Ron Paul is a fiscal conservative, and most fiscal conservatives in Iowa are pro-life.

Also, I hope they get the lip sync correct when Ron Paul is talking directly to the viewer before they put this on tv.

Abortion is a big thing in Iowa. They are doing this strategically.. just as abortion was the first thing he said in the Iowa speech.

how can you say this is bad? You people really amaze me sometimes. HUCKABEE, the freak show is "leading" in Iowa, and you think a few minor things like the make believe issue of "abortion" are major flaws in this video?

The Iowa speech is timeless. It is a great speech.

You all need to get out of your Mitt Slick Romney mind set and get with what the voters for Iowa see.

Don't worry...I'm pro-choice too...there's a lot of us here on this board. Remember, Dr. Paul would leave it up to the states...its the states that should decide on abortion, along with drugs, prostitution, etc.
