Yes and I am very pleased I have had no losses this winter, it has not been so cold for so long since , probably 1978 , there was a bad snap in 1994 but it lasted nowhere near as long as these last few have.
Minnesotans drive like idiots in this kind of weather. One is not safe on the roads and best to stay home. Our home office looks out over snow-covered pines, and with a cup of hot chocolate (Donnay's recipe), this is a bit of heaven on a cold day.it is. for people who don't see it often, its beautiful.
if i had to drive today, it would be horrid.
our state is not equipped to deal with snow on the roads/bridges.
it is more of a freak occurrence in the subtropics.

I attended a football game where it was 10° in 1985....metal seats, too. We were so used to attending games at the Superdome, we completely forgot to bring blankets and stuff. I swear, I thought my butt was going to be permanently numb.
