3" of snow in Louisiana

Wow, that is incredible. Isn't it beautiful?

it is. for people who don't see it often, its beautiful.
if i had to drive today, it would be horrid.
our state is not equipped to deal with snow on the roads/bridges.
it is more of a freak occurrence in the subtropics.

I can't help but think of Al Gore...

the livestock is still moving?
Yes and I am very pleased I have had no losses this winter, it has not been so cold for so long since , probably 1978 , there was a bad snap in 1994 but it lasted nowhere near as long as these last few have.

Do they huddle in a barn? do you throw blankets over your livestock? are you raising polar bears?

My face would fall off at 3f. never even got close to 3f and i felt like the marrow in my bones were crystallizing.

Minnesotans drive like idiots in this kind of weather. One is not safe on the roads and best to stay home. Our home office looks out over snow-covered pines, and with a cup of hot chocolate (Donnay's recipe), this is a bit of heaven on a cold day.

I attended a football game where it was 10° in 1985....metal seats, too. We were so used to attending games at the Superdome, we completely forgot to bring blankets and stuff. I swear, I thought my butt was going to be permanently numb.

Light dusting of fine flakes coming down in N.C. Piedmont now. Hope it keeps up. This will be the puppies first snow. Waiting for a little accumulation before I put him out in it.

That is pretty much how I feel at my age at about minus ten , unless I put my insulated coveralls on . I have had them on more this year than any year I can remember lately .
