Whatever place we finish, we're on par with the other states we've actually expected to do well in. We're going to do consistently well from state to state, and we're going to raise hell at the convention! :D :D :D

Also, just heard CNN say a good number of people have spoken for Ron Paul at the Special Caucus. :D

20% is good? For the campaign that raised more than any but the guy in 1st? Perhaps, but if they lose Nevada to Newt...ahahahahahah.
Personally, if they lose Nevada to Newt, RP's campaign needs to refund all donations immediately, and he needs to quit.

How about if you quit instead

I'm not wasting a few million running attack ads, and having no clear strategy here. If I were wasting millions of dollars, I would agree with you. I'll just continue making YouTube videos...but seriously, we hate when the federal government wastes money, shouldn't the same apply to campaigns?

I'm sick of supporters chanting this mantra as if it's going to change the outcome. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. 2008 is not 2012 so it's time to stop making the comparisons.

How is this a waste??? Our ranks are swelling. Compare this to last election, and you can see we ARE going to take back the country. This is not about instant gratification. This is about an evolution which is taking place in the hearts and minds of Americans.

How is not winning taking back the country?

Exactly, growing support of the Liberty movement is not the same as winning an election. Sure, Paul might influence the platform at the convention, but it will never be followed through with any sort of substance. I understand the desire to be optimistic, I really really do. But being optimistic when there is nothing to be optimistic about is kind of pointless in this instance. I'm not quite ready to throw in the towel yet, but maybe it's time to come to a conclusion that America is just not ready for a Ron Paul yet. Ron Paul strikes me more as the guy who people years from now will get pissed that we didn't put in the whitehouse. Kinda like Goldwater, but on crack. Or perhaps he will be a modern day Noah warning all about the coming flood, yet no one will listen until the flood comes. Then they will scream "Why didn't anyone warn us?!"

If this is about "the message", and not winning...then running attack ads makes no sense.
Placing 4th in SC to Santorum, 4th in FL to Santorum, I believe shows two things:
1) The stupidity of the American people
2) The campaign has no strategy for winning

If RICK SANTORUM can beat RP with little/no money, clearly there is a problem here.
Again, months ago (not counting the 2007/08 campaign) there were some of us saying the campaign needed to clearly address the foreign policy issue...

Instead of avoiding Hannity/O'Reilly and other outlets, RP should have been going on those programs...to spread his message/policies.

Again, MILLIONS of supporters dollars down the drain here, with apparently few results.
If the campaign has an actual strategy to win this, by placing 2nd or lower in each state, other than a brokered convention, I would like to see it.

The "brokered convention" idea was floated in 2008, and it didn't happen. I am a realist, and I don't see it happening now either. Unless I'm not seeing something I should be?

I am bullish on the liberty movement. I've written about this before, so I'll paste a link.

Your post is right on. Sure, i'm disappointed that we didn't do better today, but we are doing *significantly* better than we were in 2008. This is a movement. A real movement. Unlike OWS, we can actually articulate our positions because they come from an underlying philosophy of liberty. Frankly, I highly doubt that anyone is going to beat Obama this year anyways. 2016 will be a ripe year for a liberty candidate (Rand??). Sure we don't get the instant gratification, but its not like we're losing momentum as far as getting the message out is concerned, right?

This is the jar of vaseline thread.

"Third place is GREAT"

"There's no vote fraud in America"

"The polls are accurate"

"Relax... the campaign has it under control"

"There's nothing you can do about it anyway, so stop whining"

You don't seem to have a clue about what's going on.

Again, you're not going to spread as much influence if you don't win. The link you posted was essentially a longer sugar-coated version of your OP. That's great that you want to remain optimistic but I'd rather just come to grips with the inevitable right now.

Your recent posts have essentially all been negative, and I don't want you spreading negativity to the rest of the supporters. The last thing they need is to be demotivated by a negative Nancy. What kind of a soldier does that after a few setbacks? Weak.

Personally, I think America is screwed. Rome 2.0. Too many mindless individuals that gobble up soundbites, and more on the way thanks to our wonderful educational system.

This country will not change peacefully. Ever. Even if there are a mountain of Liberty supporters, the powers that be will never let things change.

RP was it. I don't know/trust Rand, because of some of his votes already. Rand may be Ron's son, but that doesn't mean they think/act the same. If 2012 with an unemployment rate above 8%, a housing bubble crash, a financial collapse on the horizon, and more isn't enough for a candidate that has raised millions to actually spread/show his record/message...2016 will be no different.

Perhaps RP supporters live in a RP bubble? I don't know, but the real world is full of stupid people that get their "news" from Fox, CNN, MSNBC, and talk radio. They do not read, they will not click links...they are 100% politically lazy.
Americans are getting what they deserve, sadly, the small percentage of us that are trying to avoid it will get hit as well.
