We're certainly not winning, but we are doing better than it looks like we're doing. Although, once again, Wead completely misunderstands the Nevada caucus system. Someone needs to make sure the campaign knows that our delegates to the national convention will be bound by percentage of the preference poll. Ron will have 3-4 delegates, but there is no way on earth that we won the NV caucuses. Romney will have half the delegates no matter what.
I am not sure how many ballots the delegates are bound for, but even if they leave Romney, they are not coming to Ron. The R party is run by some pretty evil bastards. Look how far they went last time so they could make McCain unanimous at the convention. They shut off the lights, turned off the electricity and ran out of the room. They never counted our ballots for national delegates until years after the state convention was over. And even though we got four national delegates, the party hounded them until they all voted for McCain.
Does anyone think that the Republican party is going to allow Ron, or anyone, to amass delegates to the national convention without winning any primaries? They will rewrite the rules or change the delegates or whatever they have to so they can be sure it's anyone but Ron. And they can do it because they are a private organization and can change any rules they want to. I say force their hand and make them do it. But be aware that they will do it. And Doug Wead going on national TV and telling everyone exactly what the campaign is doing will only make the party more determined to put every delegate under the hot light and give them the third degree.
