77. Nominating mccain was a bad idea because he was a moderate who inspired no one, so the GOP thinks it's a better idea to nominate an even more liberal moderate who inspires less excitement and couldn't even beat mccain.
 
76. The GOP thinks that nominating Ron Paul would be unelectable in the general election despite every single poll proving otherwise, not to mention, he's the only GOP candidate winning head to head with independants.
 
75. The tea party hates bailouts, government healthcare, and deficits, but they'll vote for a candidate who supported all of them.
