Donald Trump threatens 100% tariff on countries that turn away from the dollar

Because they are the best form of taxation and promote wealth and improved standards of living along with a balance of power between the rich, the middle class, and the poor.
No, not really, but kind of.

All taxation is destructive, but consumption taxes (tariffs, sales tax) are less destructive and less harmful to the economy than income taxes. Taxes never help the economy, they only hurt. The exception being that some politically connected may benefit from market distortions due to specific taxes. Trade unions may benefit from certain protectionist tariffs for example while consumers suffer.

According to Trump, the very purpose of his tariffs is to prop up the petrodollar. Doesn't sound like he has the slightest intention of ending the Fed, does it?

The Fed is not required for the Petrodollar, and the petrodollar can easily become the gold dollar.

Tariffs are an important step towards doing just that, and there's no need to wait.

You sound like a commercial... "but wait, there's more!".

So you want me to vote for Trump and show my support for Tariffs [tax] while he adds yet another $4 Trillion right off the get go?

Ron Paul: The Penn Wharton Budget Model, a think tank headquartered at the University of Pennsylvania, recently released a study claiming former President Donald Trump’s economic plans would add about four trillion dollars to the national deficit over ten years while Vice President Kamala Harris’s economic plans would add about two trillion dollars.

If you were serious at all about cutting spending [which you are not], it seems to me that you would support Kamala, since her spending is less than Trump's, and since Trump donated to her not once, but twice.

That study is garbage.

That study is garbage.

Everything that I present in the form of facts, data and record is garbage to you.

You would have to present to me actual data for me to believe you. So far, every time that I have asked you for such data, you have either logged immediately off or waited some period of time thinking that I would have forgotten about it.

Joe Biden 2021 – present* $6.66 Trillion 23.42%
Donald Trump 2017 – 2021 $8.18 Trillion 40.43% (one single term)
Barack Obama 2009 – 2017 $8.34 Trillion 69.98% 9 (2 full terms)

At best he’ll start quoting from Ian Fletcher’s book about how great tariffs are and how horrible free trade is. What he WON’T tell you is that Fletcher is actually on the board of a group called the Coalition For A Prosperous America, a lobbying group for a bunch of rent seeking corporations and industries seeking to enrich themselves unjustly at the expense of American consumers through tariffs and trade restrictions. Fletcher is nothing but a shill lobbyist and his book is just pro-protectionist propaganda. But you didn’t really expect any better, did you?

LOL

Well, every time he posts something, whatever that is, it give me an opportunity to set the record straight lol :tears:

The result of Congress and the globalist covid scam, the same globalists who support free trade.

Free Traders are rent seeking globalists who want to crush the working man and native patriotic business owners to enrich themselves and bring on global government.

Every position has winners and losers, you can't point out that people benefit from a position as an argument against it.
With free trade the enemies of liberty and independence get all the benefits, with tariffs the American people, liberty, and independence get most of the benefits.

“I know you are but what am I?”

That’s the best you got?

ROTFLMFAO!!!!11

Are all of your political positions derived from bumper stickers?

Congress???

Choose one:

Are you suggesting that Trump, Businessman, who has hired/fired people all of his career, sat on Company Executive Board meetings, privy to reading/signing Contracts concerning business operations, was totally in the dark about everything that he himself said, did and ordered?

-or-

Are you suggesting that he is completely and utterly inept to running an entire nation of well over 300,000,000 people?

4 years [from the time he received Pfizer money for his inauguration to when he pushed the FDA like nobody else] is an awful long time to "learn the ropes", don't you think?

- Pfizer, Inc. donated $1 million to Trump’s Presidential Inauguration Committee on December 22, 2016 and received four tickets to the Leadership Luncheon with Cabinet appointees and House and Senate Leadership.

- Donald Trump appointed Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a well known physician with ties to the pharmaceutical industry as an FDA Commissioner in March, 2017. Two years later, on June 27, 2019, Gottlieb was elected to Pfizer’s Board of Directors to serve on its Regulatory and Compliance Committee.

- Trump orders FDA chief to authorize Pfizer vaccine by Friday or submit his resignation

- Trump: Vax a "Medical Miracle" - "I pushed the FDA Like Nobody's Been Pushed Before"

Trump had no choice but to go with the flow in an election year where he was being blamed for every inflated death count, but he tried to limit the damage.
And you certainly can't compare him to any administration that didn't have that globalist attack on it.

That's all you've got, empty ad hominems.

Hold on…

Waiyt a second here. Let me re-read what I wrote…

Mmmhmmm, yes, I see.

After carefully re-reading my comments above, and applying just a rudimentary understanding if the English language, it’s obvious by the syntax and context that my words were directed, not at you personally, but at you own comments.

So, whatever else they may or may not be, my words certainly ARE NOT ad hominem.

Try again.

Your initial attack on tariff advocates is the empty ad hominem.
The other post was simple misrepresentation of my argument in which I pointed out that you were projecting the sins of your side on the opposition and make a fallacious claim that an argument could be discredited because some people benefit from the policy it argues for.

Oh, really? What about the 3 years prior during all of the lobbying, coordination/creation of agencies and rollout preparation, when nobody knew about covid at the time?

Do you really think that I'm supposed to believe that all of this just happened overnight or in 3 months time???

"Go with the flow". What a wonderful president!

The deepstate did a lot of things behind Trump's back while keeping him distracted with all the hoax attacks on him, they began preparations before he was even sworn in.
Trump also had a tendency to listen to "experts" and "allies" which he has learned to not trust so easily now.

Trump is a leftist nationalist-communist. I have absolutely no need for the likes of him in any way, shape or form.

Folks who support Trump are one of the two following:

1. Closet Nationalist-Communists.

2. Knowing his prior 4 year record in office, as well as his Agenda47 - "Out in the Open" Nationalist-Communists.

Period.
