McCain: "Paul espouses a lot of policies I don't agree with"

The more votes Barr gets in November, and the more his vote total exceeds Obama's margin of victory over McCain, the stronger Ron Paul's position will be in the post-election RP.

    Wayne Allyn Root

This is not correct. Barr voted for the House version of the bill (which included a sunset provision that Barr got inserted) so that he could be appointed to the House-Senate conference committee and make sure the sunset provision remained in the bill. He did this at the request of the ACLU and...

Ron Paul must endorse the Libertarian nominee

He has all but done this. If he goes any further, he risks losing his committee assignments and seniority.

why do both the Libertarian and Constitutionists parties exist?

It would be very difficult to devise a position on abortion that would be acceptable to both parties. IMO, that is the biggest stumbling block. My own experience while national chair and ED for the LP was that there was mutual respect and a spirit of cooperation between the leadership of most...

If Not Paul, Then Consider Baldwin

The actions mentioned were authorized by the LNC, which Barr served on. As I recall, he voted in favor of assiting the Paul campaign. He also voted with the majority that invited Dr. Paul to seek the LP nomination.

If Not Paul, Then Consider Baldwin

So why does the LP consistently get more votes than the CP?

    Constitution Party Ballot Access

While I'm strongly supporting Barr, I hope that everyone who prefers to vote for Baldwin will help make sure he is on the ballot. Likewise, I hope that Barr and/or LP supporters will donate to make sure Barr is on the ballot in 48-50 states + DC.

    Wayne Allyn Root

Barr led on ballots 1-2; Barr and Ruwart were tied on ballots 3-4, Ruwart led slightly (less than 10 votes as I recall) on the 5th ballot. Root was eliminated on the 5th ballot and endorsed Barr (just as previously eliminated candidates had endorsed Ruwart, Gravel, etc.). FYI: Most Root...

    Wayne Allyn Root

During the campaign, Root was persuaded that the Iraq war was a mistake. He changed his position a few months prior to the LP convention. If he hadn't, he wouldn't have come in third for President, nor would he have been selected as the VP candidate. Is his change in position sincere? Only time...

Ok, Ron Paul is history. But surely we can all help Bob Barr.

I'm a strong supporter of Bob Barr but I agree with Revolutionary8 100%. Candidates have to earn the support of voters -- you can't browbeat people into supporting the candidate YOU support. Let Barr supporters make the positive case for his candidacy -- let Baldwin supporters do the same...

Ok, Ron Paul is history. But surely we can all help Bob Barr.

Not according to Ballot Access News, which is the authority for tracking ballot access. As of May 1, the CP has ballot access in 19 states, and was finished petitioning in 3 others. Given their progress in petitioning, there is no way the CP is on the ballot currently in 40 states...

Paul: 'People will have a chance' with Barr

I think this makes it clear that Ron Paul considers voting for Bob Barr as one way people can advance the Revolution.

Official results from today's VA primaries

My wife and I voted for him in Falls Church, VA, so that's two.:)

Bob Barr crew, how much of this is true?

When the politician leaves a party that regularly wins elections for one that doesn't, it is unlikely to be pandering. Running for President as a Libertarians well has cost Barr donors to his PAC, as well as legal and lobbying clients. There are no offseting gains for him. If he doesn't...

    Bob Barr on Glenn Beck

I'm pretty sure that Barr's position is similar to Paul's. I'll have to listen to that section again to make sure I didn't miss something.
