Ok, Ron Paul is history. But surely we can all help Bob Barr.

I rather vote for Obama, at least I know what I'm getting.

It could be true that Barr really has embraced the freedom message. But it might that he hasn't. It can not be said that Baldwin was silent on the sidelines of freedom while we all battled. Baldwin was outspoken for Ron Paul and therefore I support Baldwin and Campaign For Liberty.

Barr could really have had a change of heart. But I am not willing to bet my vote on it yet no matter what he says or does. If he really did change his mind then why does it seem to me that he wasn't doing anything when Ron Paul needed help?

I am not going to vote for Obamalot.

because the piece of crap was waiting in the wings hoping, no, praying that RP will drop out so he can begin his presidential bid. He did introduce him once, or twice and did a nice speeh, but most likely that was calculated considering the swell of support for RP. Barr is a self-centered political hack. RP may have formed some sort of loose alliance with him, probably more because BARR supposedly had this epiphany suddenly, but as I see it, his epiphany sure was timed perfectly to try and capture the RP followers that he knew would be left in disarray.

Nailed it on one post.

... the Constituton Party candidate is Chuck Baldwin. So far he is on the ballot in foty states.

Not according to Ballot Access News, which is the authority for tracking ballot access. As of May 1, the CP has ballot access in 19 states, and was finished petitioning in 3 others. Given their progress in petitioning, there is no way the CP is on the ballot currently in 40 states.

40 states is a reasonable projection for Baldwin's ballot access by the time the election is held, but he isn't there yet.

I will respect anyone who decides to support Bob Barr in their decision. what I do NOT respect, is when people on this forum tell me to "Continue the Revolution, get in line (oxymoranalert) and vote Barr" or that "Ron Paul is history".

I'm a strong supporter of Bob Barr but I agree with Revolutionary8 100%.

Candidates have to earn the support of voters -- you can't browbeat people into supporting the candidate YOU support.

Let Barr supporters make the positive case for his candidacy -- let Baldwin supporters do the same. Friendly competition will make both candidates and campaigns stronger.

I've been a big Ron Paul supporter for over a decade. I donated over $2k to Ron Paul in the money bombs and directly.

Ron Paul wasn't perfect, and no candidate out there will be perfect, but this revolution is not about the candidate, but about the libertarian message that Ron Paul brought to national attention in the GOP debates.

I personally think if you want to support Baldwin or Barr that is a choice you have to make. The mud slinging between the two campaigns will fracture each and weaken the overall movement. And, I'm sure there are people who's job it is to do just that.

But come November Paul won't be on the ballot so I need to vote for the next best person to continue to bring the libertarian revolution message to the masses. I'm looking for someone who presents the liberty message well and can get on major media outlets. I'm looking for someone who has political experience, a record for liberty, and can be considered a serious candidate for president. I want a candidate who will be on the ballot in all 50 states. I want a candidate who has an experienced presidential campaign organization behind them.

I've watched Barr on Colbert Report, Glenn Beck, and on Bloomberg Report. He's impressed me. I encourage everyone to get on YouTube and watch them. For those of us who which to continue the revolution that Ron Paul sparked, I think the choice is clear as to who can bring the message to the greatest number of Americans.

We cannot, after all the trouble, all the sign waiving, all the money donating, all the effort, just allow 2008 to be yet another election cycle with a Libertarian getting a measly 0.5% of the overall vote.

No one here likes McCain
No one here likes Obama
Then surely we can all get behind Bob Barr. He is a third, but really the second choice we have. What do we have to do to make him a serious player in this race?
I will never vote for Candy Barr.

Bob Barr is a bastard slimeball who I can't trust. I will never trust him. His vice president is the most pro war Libertarian since the NeoLibertarians took over.

Bob Barr will not receive my vote.

Nor will the constitution party.

I think we need to start a 'Vote 3rd Party' campaign while continuing what we do all over the place. Vote Barr, Baldwin, Nader or McKinney... Just don't vote for Mr. Change and Mr. War

Let me sign off on this post again! I see a LOT of Bob Barr smearing from the Baldwin people..and NO smearing of Chuck Baldwin from the Barr people. This makes me consider the Baldwin people are a nasty bunch. I'm tired of the negativitiy and it is making me cop a resentment towards Baldwin and the CP. You Baldwin people should stop this IMMEDIATELY or watch this revolution crumble. TONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Baldwin and Barr both suck.

I'm voting Obama; at least I know where he stands.

Ummm delete thread please, this is the Ron Paul Forums.

This is a forum for the Ron Paul revolution - and a libertarian party candidacy qualifies. And, if I'm not mistaken, the name of this section of the boards is "Other Presidential Candidates"

As much as I'd like to write in Dr. Paul, it doesn't do any good since it doesn't count as a vote in my state. Now I'm choosing between Barr and Baldwin. I'm still not quite sure yet who I like, and I guess I will wait to see when November comes around to choose one of them.
