Your Guide to Dressing Like a Decent Person at CPAC

whoa...:D glad bikinis, thongs, and thigh-high boot, are not on the 'What Not To Wear' list

I disagree with that graphic, golf shirts are not dressing up. They're for playing golf or going to the park, not for CPAC.

I don't get the "if you would wear it to a bar or club don't wear it to CPAC" part. I mean maybe a sports bar, but who goes to a proper bar or club wearing a tshirt and athletic shoes?

loafers are kind of a strange shoe choice for guys. I'd probably wear oxfords or derby shoes. Or some dress boots would work too.

Also agree with token. Golf shirt (AKA Polo) would be underdressing for CPAC.

Maybe save those for the after party if possible.

I'm trying to decide whether or not he pulled that look off. I do admire unique styles that still look professional, but I'm on the fence with this one. Personally, I'm just not pretty enough to go outside the boundaries of a classic suit.

forgotten from the female no no list - caftans.. peasant dresses.. tie die anything (goes for everyone I imagine) bell bottoms *my personal fave.. makes size 12 feet look like size 8 feet.

Someone forgot to pass this on to Ron Paul, seeing how we wears black sneakers pretty much everywhere. (I do too!)

I disagree with some of the contents. Jeans can be ok if they're clean, not ripped or worn down, and tasteful. In fact, I usually wear nice jeans along with a dress shirt and tie to most official "dressy" party functions like conventions. Im usually way overdressed compared to most in attendance. I'd go full suit if Im speaking or running for an office or an otherwise very visible appearance, however.

eta: I didnt see the pics of Rand above when I posted this. I like his style! Maybe not the argyle sweater/blazer combo but I like the jeans.
