You Tube Ad Contest: Ron Paul Superbowl Commercial

Where are you at?

I am trying to get the chuck baldwin hdtv ad to all california meetups to try to put on daily cable.
If you know people that can help let me know.

Katharine and her group are focused on the high cost super bowl tuesday day.

All of the ads we are currently accepting Sponsorship for will be aired on Fox Stations and Fox affiliates throughout regular waking hours on Sunday the 3rd Of February, 90% will air during the 3-hour meet the candidates special, pre-game and the Super Bowl itself.

I live in the middle of nowhere... Some random place in San Bernardino County. My nearest meet-up is in Riverside I believe, which is pretty far. Thank for asking though! wait... that may be why I haven't heard any ads yet... = )

Does "some random place" have a cable station? lol

We need to get the 50+ folks on our side and some parts of the most favorable SuperBowl ad (frankdogg) will scare them off.

Please remove the part "No More Income Tax" "No More IRS" and replace it with something more reasonable and less controversial like:

"A lean government" "To Save your Social Security"

The IRS thing is what most people DON'T BELIEVE. It might be true but they don't believe it.

Why be controversial? Drop the NO IRS stuff. It's not worth the risk.

Talk about Social Security instead. That's the main thing older folks are concerned about.

They have paid in for 50 years and it's about to go bankrupt unless serious govt cuts are made.

Another thing, please don't spend time arguing with Mark and Cyclone on the forums.

Send them both a PM and tell them to cut it out.

Here's one problem. According to this..there will be no political superbowl ads

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0108/No_Super_Bowl_ads.html

This isn't a national ad. This is only going out to the local affiliates of important super tuesday cities. $76,000 will be going toward advertising during the superbowl, while $20,000 will be going to advertising before the superbowl where time during the superbowl has been bought up. (It says all of this on the website.)

I support keeping the "NO MORE IRS" "NO MORE IRS" stuff. Keep it revolutionary, keep it real, and inspire people. -my 2 cents.

Mckarnin, when will you be picking the winning commercial? It would probably be best if you picked it by 12:00 PM tomorrow. That way people will get to see exactly what they're paying for, and that might encourage more contributions.

need 10-20 gb of ftp space for high res ads

Mckarnin,

talked with our guys. Making that many tapes for anyone will pick up some cost and time away from work to do.

The norm for cities is to have a ftp download to send to so no cost is there and to save time.

Can you please check with each location and verify if we can directly ftp files to them.

We have done this several times with our media people. Sometimes in smaller or older regions they only receive beta.

In the meantime if you can get different compressions, std you tube, higher res quicktime and reserve the masters for all the key ads on a server with 10-20gb space with the blimp webmasters this should help us to start the ball rolling.

That way if you all need to make tapes you can roll that into the costs.

Thanks,

scandinaviany
